Job Title: Registered Pharmacy Technician (2nd Shift) Job Description
This full-time Registered Pharmacy Technician position on the 2nd shift supports a busy closed-door pharmacy fulfillment site. The role focuses on accurate preparation, packaging, and distribution of prescription medications while maintaining strict compliance with regulatory standards and supporting overall pharmacy operations. The technician works as an independent contributor within a larger pharmacy team, contributing to patient safety, workflow efficiency, and high-quality service in a fast-paced production environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist pharmacists with prescription preparation, medication dispensing, and order fulfillment while maintaining high accuracy and attention to detail.
- Accurately enter, update, and verify prescription information in the pharmacy management system to ensure complete and compliant records.
- Perform medication packaging, labeling, and related inventory activities to support timely and accurate order processing.
- Maintain accurate documentation for prescriptions, inventory transactions, and workflow activities in accordance with regulatory and company standards.
- Process refill requests and support the management of prescription workflow to ensure efficient and timely order completion.
- Receive incoming shipments, verify contents, and stock medications and supplies to maintain appropriate inventory levels.
- Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, company policies, and HIPAA requirements in all aspects of pharmacy operations.
- Support quality assurance initiatives, including participating in inventory audits and contributing to continuous improvement efforts.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe pharmacy environment that supports efficient operations and regulatory compliance.
- Collaborate with pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and other team members to ensure smooth, efficient, and coordinated pharmacy operations.
- Work as an independent contributor while actively engaging with the broader pharmacy team to meet production goals and service standards.
Essential Skills
- Active Florida Registered Pharmacy Technician license (RPT) in good standing.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Registered Pharmacy Technician (RPT) experience in pharmacy fulfillment, with at least 1+ years preferred.
- Previous experience as a pharmacy technician, ideally in fulfillment or production-oriented settings.
- Strong data entry skills with a high level of accuracy in handling prescription information.
- Proficiency with computer systems and pharmacy management software.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational abilities in a high-volume environment.
- Ability to work efficiently and maintain productivity in a fast-paced production setting.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with pharmacists, technicians, and other team members.
- Demonstrated teamwork skills and the ability to collaborate within a structured pharmacy workflow.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during the shift.
- Ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds as needed.
- Ability to frequently reach, bend, and handle medications and supplies safely and effectively.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in a closed-door, mail-order, long-term care, specialty, or high-volume pharmacy environment is a plus.
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) credential is beneficial.
- Experience with pharmacy fulfillment processes, including labeling, inventory management, and compounding, is advantageous.
- Strong ability to prioritize tasks and manage time in a production-focused setting.
- Commitment to quality, accuracy, and patient safety in all aspects of medication handling.
- Interest in long-term opportunities, including the potential to transition to a permanent role.
- Comfort working independently while maintaining alignment with team goals and procedures.
Work Environment
This role is based 100% onsite at a closed-door pharmacy fulfillment facility. The position is a full-time 2nd shift role, working Monday through Friday from 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., with a shift differential provided for evening hours. The environment is fast-paced and production-oriented, with a strong focus on accuracy, efficiency, and regulatory compliance. Team members work with pharmacy management systems, packaging and labeling equipment, and inventory tools to support high-volume prescription fulfillment. The setting is clean, organized, and safety-focused, with frequent standing, walking, reaching, bending, and handling of medications and supplies. The culture emphasizes collaboration, reliability, and quality, and offers the opportunity to transition to a permanent position for strong performers.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Jupiter, FL.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $28.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
