About Our Family

We are a warm, dynamic Brooklyn family of seven with five children, ages 1 to 10, entering an exciting new chapter as we transition into a larger multi-story townhouse. Our children attend French immersion schools, and we have an established household team including au pair support, babysitters, regular housekeeping, and private chef services.

Amid busy careers, professional travel, school, extracurricular activities, and full social calendars, we're at a stage where we want to create more simplicity, presence, and meaningful time together. We're seeking an exceptional Executive Household Manager who can reduce the day-to-day mental load, bring thoughtful structure to the many moving pieces, and work seamlessly alongside our existing team.

We also deeply value privacy. The right person understands how to provide high-touch support with a light footprint — observant, proactive, and precise while knowing when to step in and when to give the family space. We want someone whose presence makes life feel easier, calmer, and more organized.

Who You Are / What We're Looking For

You are a seasoned household professional who brings calm, precision, and sound judgment to a fast-moving home. You anticipate what comes next, close loops, and take genuine ownership rather than waiting for a list of instructions.

You have exceptional emotional intelligence and know how to read a room. You're warm and gracious while understanding that the best private-service professionals often work quietly behind the scenes. You learn a principal's preferences, respect established systems, and confidently manage your responsibilities without adding unnecessary noise or complexity.

Key qualities we're looking for:

- Executive-level professionalism, discretion, and judgment
- Exceptionally organized, detail-oriented, and precise
- High agency with the ability to anticipate needs and operate independently
- High EQ and an intuitive ability to read the room
- Calm and solutions-oriented under pressure
- Reliable with exceptional follow-through and accountability
- Systems-minded, efficient, and resourceful
- Able to provide high-touch support with a light footprint
- Warm and comfortable around children while maintaining professional boundaries
- Collaborative with existing household staff and vendors
- Adaptable and comfortable shifting priorities
- Receptive to direction and attentive to a principal's preferences
- Deeply respectful of family privacy
- Interested in becoming a trusted, long-term partner to the household

Key Responsibilities

Executive Household Management & Organization

- Develop a trusted network of Brooklyn/NYC household resources

- Maintain supply lists and ordering systems
- Coordinate grocery orders and shopping as needed

- Step in for occasional school or activity pickups/drop-offs when regular coverage is unavailable
- Provide light supervision or back-up childcare as needed
- Assist with backpacks, clothing, and child-related logistics
- Partner effectively with the family's au pairs and babysitting support rather than serving as the primary childcare provider

- Wash, fold, organize, and properly store clothing as needed
- Manage delicate garments, ironing, steaming, and specialty care
- Coordinate dry cleaning

- Coordinate move-related vendors and household projects
- Take ownership of organizational projects as needs evolve

What Success Looks Like

You become a trusted operational partner who understands the family's preferences, anticipates needs, and takes ownership without waiting to be asked. The details are handled, loose ends are closed, and the principals spend less time managing the mechanics of home life. Most importantly, the household feels calmer, lighter, and well supported by your contribution.

How to Apply

Please submit an updated resume highlighting your experience supporting private households, executives, founders, or other fast-paced principals.

In your application, we'd also love to hear briefly about your approach to household management: how you learn a principal's preferences, create effective systems, anticipate needs, and provide exceptional support while maintaining discretion and professional boundaries.

Please include three professional references with current contact information.

Finalists will be required to complete a background check and sign the family's confidentiality/NDA agreement.
