Ecolab’s industry leading Nalco Water Manufacturing team as an Operations Manager in the Indiana, Michigan, Ohio Markets. As an Operations Manager, you will develop and lead a team of Field Service Representatives and Site Managers who provide operational capabilities along with water treatment solutions to manufacturing establishments. Within the team, you will be responsible for leading market initial services, ensuring service excellence, pursuing sales opportunities, and performing quality assurance visits.
Additionally, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining key customer relations within your territory. You will participate in recruiting, selecting, coaching, and the performance management process. What You Will Do:
- Lead a team of 7-12 Field Service Representatives responsible for ensuring service excellence and execution.
- Manage multiple sites which have Field Service Representatives and a Site Manager
- Effectively select, train, develop and coach Site Managers and Field Service Representatives with emphasis on customer retention, growing existing accounts, add-on sales, and maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction
- Take an active role in hiring, assessing, and developing associates to become the next leaders at Ecolab and Nalco
- Ensure your team of associates deliver on their scopes of work
- Pursue sales and new business opportunities
- Coordinate initial services and maintain inventory and perform QA visits
- Build and maintain customer relationships within the market
- Be a champion of safety and ensure your team upholds strong safety practices and values
- Drive sales goals for the territory while executing goals around Retain, Grow and Gain
Position Details:
- This position is based in: Tri State Area of Michigan, Indiana, and Ohio
- 50% overnight travel required - based on site demands and customer needs
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (7+ years mechanical service-related experience and 4+ years sales or leadership experience)
- Ability to lift and/or carry 50 pounds
- Current and valid driver’s license and acceptable Motor Vehicle Record

Preferred Qualifications:
- 5+ years supervisory or team leadership experience in a field support or service role
- 2+ years of Water Treatment Experience ( Automotive manufacturing - Paint Shop Operations, Paint Decalcification, Wastewater Treatment, Reverse Osmosis, UF operations)
- Proven record of meeting customer needs, quality service delivery and meeting business objectives
- Exceptional communication and organization skills with aptitude to implement change initiatives
- Good decision-making and problem-solving skills when handling challenging situations in a fast-paced environment
- Prior experience in value added sales and/or new account generation
- Prior budget and P&L responsibilities

Annual or Hourly Compensation Range
The total Compensation range for this position is $105,100-$157,500 which includes base pay and target incentive based on performance, per plan terms. Many factors are taken into consideration when determining compensation, such as experience, education, training, geography, etc. We comply with all minimum wage and overtime laws.
