About this role

Agency Development Planning and Execution

- Translate approved agency strategies and business priorities into actionable development plans and initiatives.
- Lead the execution of assigned agency development programs in accordance with established objectives and timelines.
- Monitor implementation progress and recommend improvement actions to address identified gaps.
- Provide updates and recommendations to the Vice President on development initiatives, performance, and operational challenges.

Agent Recruitment, Development and Retention

- Implement initiatives to support agent recruitment, onboarding, engagement, and retention in line with approved business plans.
- Coordinate with relevant teams to strengthen agent development and support sustainable agency growth.
- Monitor recruitment and retention performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Agency Capability and Productivity Enhancement
- Lead the implementation of initiatives to enhance agent capabilities, sales effectiveness, and productivity.
- Coordinate with relevant teams to deliver agent and leadership development programs.
- Monitor program effectiveness and recommend improvements based on business needs and performance results.

Performance Monitoring and Reporting

- Monitor agency development performance against established KPIs and business targets.
- Analyze performance trends, identify gaps, and recommend corrective actions.
- Prepare management reports and provide updates on the progress and effectiveness of agency development initiatives.
- Escalate significant performance issues and propose solutions to the Vice President.

Team Leadership and Management

- Lead, manage, and develop team members to achieve departmental objectives and agreed performance targets.
- Establish team work plans, assign responsibilities, and monitor individual and team performance.
- Provide coaching and guidance to strengthen team capabilities, accountability, and effectiveness.
- Manage team resources and priorities within approved budgets and delegated authority.

Stakeholder Collaboration

- Collaborate with Agency Sales, Training, Operations, Compliance, and other relevant functions to execute agency development initiatives.
- Coordinate with agency leaders and internal stakeholders to ensure effective implementation of development plans.
- Identify operational challenges and recommend process improvements.

Governance and Compliance

- Monitor agency development activities for compliance with applicable regulatory requirements, internal policies, and approved procedures.
- Identify and escalate potential risks, compliance concerns, and operational issues to the appropriate management level.
- Support control measures and continuous improvement initiatives within the scope of responsibility.

Education & Experience

- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Management, or a related field.
- A Master’s degree is an advantage
- Minimum 8–10 years of experience in insurance, agency development, sales management, or a related field.
- Proven experience in agency development, business planning, performance management, and team leadership.
- Experience in managing cross-functional projects and driving business improvement initiatives.
- Experience in the life insurance industry is preferred.

- Business Planning & Performance Management: Ability to develop action plans, monitor KPIs, analyze performance, and recommend improvement initiatives.

- Insurance Industry Knowledge: Understanding of life insurance products, agency distribution channels, and relevant regulatory requirements.
- Digital & Analytical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint, and the ability to use data to support business decisions.
