Acts as a "virtual Chief Technical Officer" to provide account thought leadership, leverage deep knowledge of Microsoft's solutions, industry, and customer needs, and act as the voice of the customer, industry, and team.</p><p>Leads technology strategy formulation by aligning customer needs and technology solutions, executing technology strategy and digital transformation, creating mid- to long-term technical roadmaps, and translating customer business objectives into technology plans. Develops and drives opportunities, presents opportunities to the customer, and creates demand.</p><p>Coaches peers on opportunity initiation and on mapping Microsoft priorities to opportunities. Leads digital transformation using corporate and cross-industry resources, partners with business leaders or senior executives to articulate the benefits of Microsoft technology, helps customer technical specialists sell Microsoft offerings, maps customer requirements and business scenarios to Microsoft technology platforms, orchestrates teams and partners for demand generation, and delivers regular industry and technology briefings to senior customer decision makers.</p><br><br><b>Responsibilities</b><br><p>Customer and Industry Insights: Applies deep expertise and thought leadership to identify industry trends, customer threats, opportunities, and barriers to growth. Synthesizes business and industry insights, global best practices, proof points, and expertise to develop recommendations, challenge customer thinking, and support account and subsidiary planning.</p><p>Differentiated Value Proposition: Partners with line-of-business leaders or senior executives to articulate how Microsoft technology and services meet future business needs better than competitor solutions. Acts as the customer's Technology Mentor, develops senior relationships, aligns Microsoft capabilities to customer needs, and leads customer business transformation through digital technologies.</p><p>Education and Thought Leadership: Leads customer technology engagement by influencing customer, partner, and Microsoft technical resources. Delivers regular industry and technology briefings to senior decision makers and creates enablement plans for large and high-stakes customers.</p><p>Mapping and Account Planning: Establishes best practices for account planning, owns the technical portion of account plans, coordinates complex extended account teams, and helps customer technical specialists build messages to sell Microsoft offerings across the customer organization.</p><p>Technology Sales Demand Generation and Orchestration: Leads Account Strategy Envisioning with extended teams, customers, and partners. Creates new opportunities, manages consumption pipeline velocity, coaches peers on opportunity initiation, and orchestrates technical teams across STU, CSU, partners, and other resources.</p><p>Technology Strategy Formulation: Creates mid- and long-term technology and business roadmaps for strategic accounts, translates customer objectives into industry technology architecture plans, resolves technical blockers, drives adoption, and leads strategy development with global executives.</p><p>Trusted Advisor: Uses broad knowledge of Microsoft's product landscape, solutions, strategy, customer environment, and competitive landscape to address customer needs. Provides account thought leadership, shares best practices, creates connections with Product and Engineering teams, acts as the voice of the customer, and positions security as a business enabler using Microsoft Security and Zero Trust narratives.</p><br><br><b>Qualifications</b><br><p>Required/minimum qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, or related field AND 6+ years of technical consulting, technical consultative selling, business consulting, practice building, or related technical/sales experience OR equivalent experience.</p><p>Additional or preferred qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, or related field AND 12+ years of technical consulting, technical consultative selling, business consulting, practice building, or related technical/sales experience OR equivalent experience.</p><p>Preferred experience includes 6+ years in the relevant customer industry and 6+ years in digital transformation or using technology to drive customer business outcomes.</p> <br><p>This position will be open for a minimum of 5 days, with applications accepted on an ongoing basis until the position is filled.</p><br><hr><br><p>Microsoft is an equal opportunity employer.
