About this role
With the rapid growth of AI, demand for localized and privately hosted agentic AI systems is surging. These systems increasingly require higher power delivery, pushing requirements up to 500W. This project addresses that need by developing a Type-C output-based power adapter using advanced topologies and digital control.
Your role Key responsibilities in your new role
FEA Analysis of Transformer
- Finite Element Analysis for magnetic flux distribution
- Core loss and copper loss estimation
- Validation of planar transformer design parameters
System Evaluation of Prototype
- Full 500W prototype build and bench testing
- Type-C output compliance and load regulation verification
- Thermal and electrical performance validation
Detailed Loss Breakdown Analysis
- Switching losses (MOSFET, diode)
- Conduction losses
- Core and winding losses in planar transformer
- Controller and gate drive losses

- Target Majors: Undergraduate/Graduate students in Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE),
Preferable Qualifications:
- Hands-on experience with circuit design.
- Familiarity with Plecs /FEA simulation software.
- Completed coursework in Power Electronics.)
