Job Description

The Assistant Restaurant Manager is responsible for supporting the Restaurant Manager in managing the daily operations of the restaurant and ensuring a smooth, efficient, and customer-focused operation.

The role involves supervising and supporting the restaurant team, organizing daily operations, delegating responsibilities, and ensuring that employees follow company policies, operational procedures, and service standards.

The position is responsible for maintaining high standards of customer service, food quality, cleanliness, hygiene, and health and safety. The Assistant Restaurant Manager is also expected to handle customer concerns professionally and ensure a positive dining experience.

The role supports the achievement of sales and operational targets by monitoring performance, controlling costs, minimizing waste, managing resources effectively, and identifying opportunities for improvement.

The Assistant Restaurant Manager also contributes to employee training, development, motivation, and performance, while working closely with the management team to improve productivity, operational efficiency, and overall restaurant performance.

Job Requirements

- Previous experience in restaurant or hospitality operations, preferably in a supervisory or management role.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage daily operations in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong customer service and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to handle customer complaints and operational challenges professionally.
- Good understanding of food safety, hygiene, and health and safety standards.
- Ability to monitor sales, costs, inventory, and operational performance.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to train, motivate, and develop team members.
- Ability to work under pressure and make effective decisions.
- Flexible and willing to work different shifts, weekends, and holidays when required.
- Good command of English; additional languages are an advantage.
- Basic computer and reporting skills.
