The ideal candidate will serve as a key liaison between the Law School and campus partners, including Student Business Services, Financial Aid, and Veterans Services, to ensure an exceptional student experience. You’ll bring strong attention to detail as you monitor student accounts, resolve issues, and prepare reports and data files that support accurate billing and benefits processing. Success in this role requires excellent communication skills, a collaborative mindset, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of accuracy. What You Need to Know
Salary: $65,000-$70,000/annually (commensurate with experience).

Qualifications
Required Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Four years of experience in Student Financial Aid, Student Business Services, veteran benefits, and/or student fees or a combination of one or more of these areas.
Preferred Qualifications
- More than four years of experience in Student Financial Aid, Student Business Services, Veteran benefits, customer service experience; and two years of program administration experience.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Working knowledge of spreadsheet and word processing software; ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others; substantial understanding of veterans benefits and other financial aid sources
Essential Duties/Tasks
Student Financial Aid Liaison
- Works closely with Student Business Services, the Office of Financial Aid, and the Office of Veterans Services to ensure exemplary customer service to JD and graduate law students.
- Serves as a concierge-level liaison with prospective and current JD and graduate students regarding financial aid, funding options, veterans’ benefits, and general financial student aid.
- Guides students through financial decision-making, including navigating federal graduate loan limit changes.
- Has frequent discussions with representatives of the Veterans Services Office and Financial Aid and collaborates with Admissions and Graduate Programs.
Student Account Management
- Plans, implements and evaluates finances and student accounts for JD and graduate law students. Program finances and student accounts.
- Assists School of Law in compilation of student bills. Provides students and their employers with custom billing statements to minimize student out-of-pocket costs.
- Works with Program Directors to manage collection of student accounts.
- Monitors student accounts in COMPASS and work with Student Billing Services to resolve issues with bills and student financial aid accounts.
- Meet regularly via phone and in person with designated representatives in Financial Aid, Veteran Services, and Student Business Services to ensure that student accounts are in order, and that processes are communicated effectively. Assists in identifying funding opportunities.
- Prepares load files for Student Business Services indicating tuition and fee amounts on JD, on campus MLS, on campus LLM, online MLS, online LLM and certificate programs.
- Prepares detailed spreadsheets for Veteran Services indicating expected benefits for all students in the JD and Graduate Law programs each semester.
- Resolves issues on student accounts and proposes new processes as needed. Assists in establishing goals, objectives, policies and procedures.
Recruiting & Enrollment Support
- Works with prospective students to explain financial aid and payment options; attends recruitment events; schedules one-on-one appointments; creates emails, presentations, and marketing collateral; identifies financial barriers affecting enrollment, yield, and retention; and develops training materials.
Scholarships & Endowed Funds
- Coordinates, allocates, and awards scholarships; tracks, manages, and reports on endowed scholarship funds; and follows all scholarship guidelines and rules.
