The selected candidate will design, own and deploy the Sourcing Strategy for main product categories for Ovivo at a Global level, aiming to ensure supply at the best possible TCO.
The role is in Barcelona , and reports to the Ovivo Commercial Project Manager.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deploy strategies to optimize the total cost of ownership across an identified set of categories
- Acts as business owner for your categories autonomously defining and executing sourcing strategies. Goals: improve reliability, get competitive pricing, seek technical and commercial opportunities, reduce complexity, shorten lead times. You are responsible for directly leading negotiations with suppliers.
- Engages with key stakeholders to maintain alignment with evolving business needs.
- Applies, as sourcing methodology, the Total Delivered Cost (TDC) process and tools, from definition to implementation, to build and reinforce a best-in-class supply that meets the company goals.
- Collaborates across Project Management, Operations, Engineering and Business to ensure action plans and project milestones are met.
- Investigates, develops, and drives actions to remedy supply disruptions and constraints. Effectively communicates updates to internal stakeholders.
- Builds and maintains expert knowledge of respective categories, competition, and innovations.
- Provides accurate pricing forecasts and understands key feedstock trends.
- Links knowledge of current market trends with supplier portfolios to identify opportunities for marketplace advantages and generate new ideas for gaining a competitive advantage.
- Establishes, develops and maintains supplier relationships to ultimately create value for the organization.
Your profile :
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Automation) and/or Business; sourcing or negotiation certification preferred.
- 10+ years of international sourcing experience within industrial or engineered-to-order environments.
- Strong expertise in Strategic Sourcing, Category Management, SRM, supplier and contract management.
- Proven experience managing procurement for complex projects and working within matrix organizations & project management
- Strategic, results-driven, and proactive mindset with the ability to influence without direct authority.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to thrive in dynamic, cross-functional environments.
- Fluent English required; an additional European language is a plus.
