About this role

The Senior Accountant is responsible for performing and supporting key accounting and finance functions of the company, with an emphasis on general ledger accounting, account reconciliations, financial statement preparation, project accounting, and audit compliance. This role partners closely with cross-functional and intercompany finance teams to support accurate reporting and continuous process improvement.

What you'll do:

- Maintain the general ledger and ensure compliance with GAAP, internal controls, and company policies

- Prepare and post journal entries and account reconciliations; support month-end and year-end close and financial statement preparation

- Oversee fixed asset, inventory, and project/job cost accounting, including related reconciliations and variance analysis

- Provide leadership to the accounting and finance team, including Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable

- Recommend process improvements and support policy development

- Assist with annual financial statement audits

- Support annual budgeting process

- Other duties as assigned

What you bring:

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

- 3–5 years of relevant accounting experience

- Working knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting

- Construction, engineering, and/or manufacturing industry experience preferred

- Experience with Sage ERP preferred

- CPA license or CPA candidate preferred

- Strong verbal and written communication skills

- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills

- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools

- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines

- Ability to collaborate effectively across departments and work cross-functionally

- Ability to use a computer and standard office equipment for extended periods

- Willingness to complete required company training, including office safety, Travel & Expense (T&E) policies, and additional training as assigned

- Comfortable working in a standard office environment with regular seated work and light physical activity
