About the Role

Carbon Health is looking for a Medical Assistant to join our clinical team and help deliver same-day, high-quality care to our patients. You'll work alongside providers and front desk staff to keep visits running smoothly, from rooming patients through supporting same-day procedures.

Responsibilities

- Room patients, take vitals, and document chief complaint and history
- Assist providers with exams, procedures, and point-of-care testing
- Administer medications and immunizations per provider order and scope of practice
- Perform phlebotomy and specimen collection as needed
- Maintain exam rooms, equipment, and supply stock to clinic standards
- Support patient flow to keep wait times and visit length on target
- Support Employer Paid Services like Workers Compensation and Occupational Medicine
- Document accurately and timely in the EHR
- Follow all safety, infection control, and CLIA compliance protocols
- Cover front desk duties as needed, including check-in, check-out, and phones
- Perform other duties as assigned by clinic leadership
- Be available to work at, or temporarily transfer to, another Carbon Health location within a reasonable distance, as business needs require

Qualifications

- High school diploma or equivalent required
- DOT Drug Screen / BAT certification, or be willing to acquire certification upon hire
- Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program, or equivalent hands-on MA experience
- Current Medical Assistant certification/registration where required by state law
- Current BLS/CPR certification
- Phlebotomy experience preferred
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, walk-in care environment

Compensation and Benefits

Pay is set by Carbon Health's compensation bands for this role and location. [EDITABLE: insert location-specific pay range from the current band before posting.] Full-time employees are eligible for medical, dental, and vision coverage, paid time off, and a 401(k).
