Electrical Engineer Job Description We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in designing and developing electronic circuits and printed wiring assemblies, ensuring they meet detailed specifications and quality standards. Responsibilities
- Create electronic circuit schematics and lead PCB design/layout activities.
- Develop documentation for manufacturing printed wiring assemblies and transition designs to manufacturing.
- Develop detailed design specifications, test plans, and test procedures.
- Write technical documents including hardware module design descriptions and technical memoranda.
- Verify product performance against predictions for prototype and production hardware products.
- Generate documentation for programming individual components and loading firmware.
- Troubleshoot problems effectively by defining issues, collecting data, and implementing solutions.
- Identify alternate components and conduct qualification testing for obsolete components.
- Plan, design, and manage PWB re-layout activities to replace obsolete components.
- Support test yield improvement activities in a manufacturing environment.
- Act as a liaison between manufacturing diagnostic technicians and development engineers.
- Evaluate the effects of modified firmware on existing hardware platforms.
- Perform root cause analysis on field failures and recurring warranty returns.
- Support research and development efforts and continuous process improvements.
- Complete tasks in a quality and timely manner with minimal supervision.
- Communicate effectively with management about status, issues, needs, and ideas.
Essential Skills
- At least five years of experience in detailed circuit card design, analysis, and test.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Extensive lab experience and hands-on skills in optimizing designs and testing.
- Experience with digital design including PSoCs, Microprocessors, FPGAs/CPLDs, and USB drivers.
- Proficiency in schematic capture tools such as Altium Designer, Siemens/Mentor Xpedition, or OrCAD.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Experience with Microsoft Office tools, including Excel, Word, Visio, and Project.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with DoD standards and practices.
- Ability to analyze a design to meet technical requirements.
- Experience with lab testing equipment like oscilloscopes and power meters.
- Hyperlynx experience for signal integrity testing is a plus.
Work Environment The role is onsite and involves working on cutting-edge technology in a great team culture. You will be part of a project focused on updating and testing 3rd Gen Head Mounted Displays, specifically refreshing and updating 8-16 layer PCBs. Collaborate with a team that includes FPGA Engineers and other Electrical Engineers, utilizing Altium for board design while working with digital circuits.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $86.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
