Job Description
The Senior Product Manager, Global Token Products will own end-to-end product management for a portfolio of initiatives within Visa Token Service (VTS) — spanning strategy, prioritization, requirements, and delivery — with primary focus on two outcomes: (1) accelerating the growth of tokenized commerce globally by closing adoption and performance evolutions with strategic partners, and (2) defining and building the next generation of token-native products that secure Visa's role in emerging payment experiences and moments of choice, including new wallet form factors, autonomous/agentic commerce, and evolving credential standards. This PM will also extend, drive and support other priorities across the broader Token Products roadmap as needed.
This is a seasoned product manager role with full ownership of specific product workstreams, roadmaps and cross-cutting initiatives. It is well suited to a PM who wants to drive outcomes end-to-end: from market and landscape assessment and business case development, through requirements and roadmap definition, to consumer experience definition, technical delivery, launch, and performance measurement — in close partnership with engineering, architecture, analytics, design, legal/compliance, and commercial teams across a highly matrixed global organization.
This role is global and will need to balance regional and global opportunities to achieve overall solution and platform objectives. Accomplishing this will require ability to drive prioritization decisions, collaborate cross-functionally and influence a complex and highly matrixed organization and provide leadership and clear vision to direct and indirect teams.
Key Responsibilities and Role Expectations:
- Own product strategy and roadmap for growing tokenized commerce adoption globally, identifying and prioritizing the partners, segments, and markets with the greatest impact on token growth.
- Drive workstreams that grow global token penetration, partnering directly with named strategic accounts — issuers, acquirers, wallets, and large merchants — to close provisioning, adoption, and performance gaps.
- Define and launch new product frameworks, incentive structures, or compliance mechanisms that improve performance for smaller and long-tail partners, owning the work from business case through requirements, launch, and partner enablement.
- Partner with engineering and data teams to identify and deliver technical improvements that measurably lift authorization and provisioning success rates.
- Build and maintain the performance evidence base (authorization lift, fraud reduction, adoption impact) and translate it into partner-specific business cases that help commercial teams win new business and justify continued investment.
- Own the end-to-end product lifecycle for next-generation, token-native product bets — from opportunity landscaping and architecture alignment, through requirements, build, and pilot launch with partners.
- Partner with architecture, engineering and other product teams to establish repeatable frameworks and decision criteria that ensure other Visa product teams evaluate and build on top of the token platform.
- Drive credential and identity specification work needed to secure Visa's token as the trusted, default payment mechanism across new wallet and device form factors, partnering directly with external wallet and platform partners.
- Build and apply a structured evaluation framework to assess, prioritize, and advance long-horizon, emerging payment bets — e.g., new settlement models, autonomous/agentic commerce — from early concept into funded delivery.
- Translate market trends, competitive intelligence, and partner feedback into clear product requirements, epics, and acceptance criteria; own backlog prioritization in partnership with engineering.
- Lead cross-functional execution across Product Strategy, Platform Products, Architecture, Analytics, Legal/Compliance, Client Services, and Operations/network partners to ship on time, on budget, and at quality.
- Contribute to business cases, investment recommendations, and go-to-market plans; support commercialization and partner enablement at launch.
- Monitor and report on product and initiative performance using data-driven insight, and iterate on roadmap and execution based on results.
- Apply AI-powered and agentic product development tools and practices to accelerate delivery and improve quality and consistency. .
