Job Title: Workplace Experience Ambassador 3 Job Description
The Workplace Experience Ambassador 3 serves as an onsite support technician and client-facing representative, responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining high-end audio-visual equipment for live, virtual, and hybrid meetings and events within a large corporate facility. This role ensures that event spaces are configured correctly, equipment is presented professionally and operates safely, and that clients feel comfortable using the technology provided. The position involves regular coordination with event stakeholders, daily room refresh activities, and hands-on support before, during, and after events.
Responsibilities
- Set up, operate, and troubleshoot a variety of high-end audio-visual equipment for live, virtual, and hybrid meetings and events, ensuring smooth and professional execution.
- Ensure all equipment is functional, safely installed, and professionally presented, and help clients feel familiar and comfortable with the operation of any equipment they will use.
- Organize and execute daily floor activities to ensure timely setup, refresh, and removal of equipment and furniture in meeting, training, and event spaces.
- Configure tables, chairs, and other furniture according to event designs and room layout requirements for meetings, trainings, and special events.
- Deliver additional meeting equipment such as easels, flip charts, tables, and chairs to event spaces as requested.
- Perform daily floor operations and assist in the workflow of other technicians to support a coordinated and efficient event setup process.
- Collaborate with team members to establish clear and coordinated communication for the planning, scheduling, and management of events.
- Meet with guests and event organizers onsite to confirm their needs, verify that equipment setups are working properly, and provide responsive customer service.
- Attend venue and event planning meetings, including review of event orders and pre-event planning sessions, to understand requirements and prepare appropriate setups.
- Handle event setup and tear-down, including occasional loading and unloading of equipment, while maintaining safety and care in handling all assets.
- Operate different types of audio-visual equipment for both live and virtual events, adapting to various formats and technical requirements.
- Maintain proper security, storage, and transportation practices for all audio-visual and event equipment.
- Participate in physical inventory count processes for equipment and supplies as requested.
- Lift and move equipment and furniture up to approximately 20 pounds, typically working in pairs and requesting assistance when needed.
- Walk extensively throughout an approximately 800,000 square foot facility to support event setups and room refresh activities.
- Work some evening and weekend hours as required to support events and special functions.
Essential Skills
- 35 years of customer service or hospitality experience (preferred), demonstrating strong client-facing and service-oriented capabilities.
- 35 years of audio-visual experience (preferred), including hands-on operation and basic troubleshooting of AV equipment.
- Advanced problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve technical and logistical issues quickly in a live event environment.
- Ability to safely use and work with high-end audio-visual equipment, including tasks that may require working from ladders.
- Capability to lift and move up to approximately 20 pounds and perform frequent walking and physical activity throughout the workday.
- Strong communication and people skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients, guests, and internal teams.
- Demonstrated coordination and organizational skills to manage multiple events, setups, and room refresh activities efficiently.
- Basic maintenance skills related to the care, handling, and storage of audio-visual and event equipment.
- Ability to work across multiple campus locations as needed, adapting to different venues and setups.
- Commitment to compliance with company standards and procedures, including equipment security and safety protocols.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in project management or event coordination, supporting planning, scheduling, and execution of meetings and events.
- Strong administrative support skills, including tracking equipment, documenting setups, and following event orders.
- Prior experience in large facility or campus environments, navigating multiple floors and buildings to support events.
- Comfort with hybrid meeting and event formats, including live, virtual, and combined setups.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a technical support team and contribute to a positive, service-focused workplace culture.
- Audio-visual (AV) experience beyond the preferred minimum is a plus, particularly with complex or high-end systems.
Work Environment
This role is based onsite in a large corporate facility of approximately 800,000 square feet, with free parking available. The standard shift runs from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with potential overtime opportunities, especially for event setup and support. Some evening and weekend work is required to accommodate meetings and special events. The work environment is highly active and event-driven, involving extensive walking throughout the facility, frequent room reconfigurations, and regular interaction with clients and guests. Team members work with high-end audio-visual equipment and may use ladders for certain tasks, following safety and compliance guidelines. The position may require supporting multiple campus locations, offering variety in event spaces and setups. The culture emphasizes professional client service, teamwork, clear communication, and careful handling, storage, and security of equipment.

This is a Contract position based out of Charlotte, NC.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $10.00 - $10.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
