About this role
Manifest Global empowers in building companies that connect the world towards growth, prosperity, and innovation. Our portfolio includes trailblazer brands such as Cialfo , BridgeU , Explore , Kaaiser , EduGo , and Flow AI and which are dedicated to expanding global student mobility by serving their respective stakeholders in the ecosystem.
Our Mission
To create a world where every student, regardless of their ethnicity, nationality, socio-economic status, and learning preference, gets equal access to higher education through our world-class network of portfolio brands; a network that globally connects community stakeholders that provide the finest resources and support material, anywhere in the world and at any time.
What This Role Is
Every year, thousands of Indian students decide that their future lies in Europe. Behind each decision is a family that has saved, borrowed, and planned for years, and behind each application is a chain of money that has to move correctly: application fees, tuition deposits, partner commissions, and university payments across currencies and borders. When that chain works, nobody notices. When it breaks, a deposit is delayed, a partner is paid late, or a university relationship that took years to build takes a hit.
EduGo Abroad is India's gateway to European education. With more than 15 years in the market, a presence across 18+ countries, and partnerships with 280+ universities, it has become one of the most trusted names in European admissions. That trust is earned in counselling rooms, but it is kept in the books. Every partner paid on time, every university receivable reconciled, and every statutory filing submitted clean is part of why families and institutions keep choosing EduGo Abroad.
EduGo Abroad is now part of Manifest Global, and its finance function is becoming more than bookkeeping for a single business. The numbers coming out of Ahmedabad need to be accurate, timely, and ready to sit alongside reporting from Singapore, Delhi, and beyond. This role exists to make sure the books behind EduGo Abroad are ones the business can trust and build on.
You will own the day-to-day accuracy of EduGo Abroad's books: payables, receivables, reconciliations, closings, and filings, done right and done on time.
What Makes This Role Different
Most early-career accounts roles are about keeping up with a domestic ledger. This one puts you inside a genuinely cross-border business: Indian students, European universities, a partner network across India, and transactions that move between currencies. You will work with service exports, foreign receivables, and commission structures early in your career, and that experience compounds faster than a typical first finance role.
You also join a group, not just a company. Manifest Global brings together Cialfo, BridgeU, Explore, Kaaiser, and EduGo Abroad, and its finance function operates across multiple countries and entities. From Ahmedabad, you will see how a multi-brand group closes its books, works with auditors, and standardises process, which is exposure most standalone study-abroad firms simply cannot offer.
The timing matters. EduGo Abroad's processes are being aligned with the wider group right now. The person who joins now helps decide how things get done, rather than inheriting a finished system and maintaining it.
What You Own
Payables and receivables
- Own the accounts payable and receivable cycle end to end, so vendors, partners, and universities are paid and invoiced accurately and on time
- Maintain accurate records of service exports and foreign currency receivables in Tally ERP
- Coordinate with partners, universities, and internal teams to collect the documentation each transaction needs
- Identify overdue items early and flag them before they become a relationship problem
Reconciliation and the general ledger
- Reconcile bank statements regularly and resolve discrepancies at their source
- Maintain the general ledger so every transaction is recorded correctly and fully traceable
- Ensure closing journals (accruals, prepayments, provisions, and payroll) are appropriate and properly supported
Closings, compliance, and audits
- Drive month-end and year-end closing activities to a predictable timeline
- Prepare and submit tax returns and statutory filings accurately and on schedule
- Build audit-ready documentation so internal and external audits run without last-minute scrambling
Process and cross-team partnership
- Work with operations, marketing, and counselling teams so financial information flows to and from them accurately and on time
- Identify manual or inconsistent steps and help standardise them as EduGo Abroad aligns with group processes
- Translate the numbers into clear, timely updates for your manager and leadership
What Success Looks Like
- The markers below reflect where EduGo Abroad's finance function is today. We'll calibrate the specifics once you're in the seat. These are directional, not fixed.
- In your first three months, you will know the books well. You will understand how money moves through the business, who EduGo Abroad pays and who pays it, and where the recurring discrepancies come from. You will have run at least one month-end close with support and will have a clear view of what slows it down.
- By six months, you will be running payables, receivables, and reconciliations independently. Closes will happen on time, filings will go in without rework, and your manager will spend less time checking your work and more time relying on it.
- By twelve months, you will have made the function measurably better. At least a few processes will be cleaner and more standardised because of you, audit preparation will feel routine rather than stressful, and EduGo Abroad's numbers will slot into group reporting without needing to be rebuilt.
- The specifics will be calibrated once you're in the role. The direction won't change.
What You Bring
- You have a year or two in accounting or finance, ideally in a role where you handled payables, receivables, reconciliations, and closings yourself rather than watching someone else do them. You studied accounting, finance, or a related field, and you understand accounting principles well enough to notice when a number does not look right.
- You are comfortable in Tally ERP and strong in Excel, and you have working knowledge of Indian statutory filings. If you have handled service exports or foreign currency transactions, you will ramp quickly. If you have not, you are genuinely keen to learn.
- You care about accuracy. You would rather catch an error yourself than explain it later, and you stay organised when month-end, a filing deadline, and an audit request all land in the same week.
- You are coachable. You ask questions early, take feedback without defensiveness, and want to grow into a finance professional who understands how an international group runs. You work on-site in Ahmedabad and enjoy being close to the teams whose work your numbers reflect.
- Somewhere underneath the reconciliations, you remember that every line in the ledger connects to a student on their way to Europe. Most importantly, you read the description of what EduGo Abroad is building and your first reaction was 'I know how to keep these books clean, and I want to learn how a global group runs its finances.' That's the person this role is for.
Why Manifest
Manifest Global is building the infrastructure for global human capital mobility: connecting students, schools, universities, and employers across 50+ countries. Our portfolio spans Cialfo (AI-powered college counseling, 2,000+ schools), BridgeU (university guidance for international schools globally), Kaaiser (trusted study abroad counseling since 1997 across India and Southeast Asia), and Explore (AI-powered university outreach, 1,000+ university partners). Together, we move talent across borders at scale. $700B flows annually in remittances from migrant workers. 85M workers will be missing from developed economies by 2030. We're building the operating system which changes that. $80M raised. Still early.
For this role specifically, finance is where trust becomes tangible. Universities, partners, and families judge EduGo Abroad not only by the quality of its counselling but by whether every payment, refund, and commission is handled correctly. Clean, reliable books are what allow EduGo Abroad to grow its European corridor inside the group with confidence.
EduGo Abroad is part of Manifest Global, a multi-brand group building the infrastructure for global human capital mobility, operating across 50+ countries.
