Staff Assistant
Location : On-site at the Customer's headquarters in Washington, DC.
Clearance/Screening Requirements : SECRET personnel security clearance issued by the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA), required prior to contract performance.
Position Summary:
PBG is seeking an experienced Staff Assistant to support the senior executives of our Customer, a Federal agency, on a headquarters professional support services program. This is a mid-level key position supporting executives who direct headquarters operations and a nationwide network of field offices and public-facing facilities. The program provides approximately two hundred (200) professional support personnel across the Customer's nine (9) headquarters offices in the Greater Washington, DC region, with growth expected over the life of the contract. Staff Assistants manage the behind-the-scenes operations that allow the organization's mission, vision, goals, and objectives to become a reality. The role demands thoughtful, clear communication to anticipate and facilitate the flow of information through the smooth, timely clearance of the Customer's official correspondence ("paper").
Key Responsibilities:
The Staff Assistant shall be responsible for the following:
- Support the Customer's senior executives as they direct headquarters operations and a nationwide network of field offices and public-facing facilities.
- Manage the behind-the-scenes operations that allow the organization's mission, vision, goals, and objectives to become a reality.
- Anticipate and facilitate the flow of information throughout the Customer's organization through the smooth, timely clearance of official paper.
- Communicate thoughtfully and clearly.
- Apply written editorial skill to official paper, using Microsoft products including SharePoint.
- Consult frequently with onsite Government management on operations and execution results in planning and delivery.
- Prepare written communication in accordance with the Customer's writing guide, free of typos, grammar discrepancies, and formatting flaws.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Two (2) years of experience.
- Written editorial skill .
- Use of Microsoft products, including SharePoint.
- Understanding of the Customer's official paper, its document clearance process, and the workings of the Customer's organization.
- Proficiency using standard Microsoft Office software, including Outlook, Teams, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Project, Visio, and Power BI.
- Bachelor's degree.
- SECRET personnel security clearance issued by the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA), required prior to contract performance.
