About this role
Private Wealth Management
Goldman Sachs Private Wealth Management (PWM) specializes in creating comprehensive wealth management plans for ultra-high-net-worth individuals and families, as well as select institutions, including foundations and endowments. PWM Teams work one-on-one with clients to advise and deliver customized strategies drawn from our deep investment experience, diverse wealth management capabilities, and global reach. Our Private Wealth Advisors (PWAs) deliver an unparalleled investment platform inclusive of the full product and service offerings of Goldman Sachs and beyond, which may include tax and estate planning, philanthropic planning, and private banking and lending services.
OUR IMPACT
Goldman Sachs helps clients — individuals, families, institutions, and foundations — build and preserve wealth across generations. Within Private Wealth Management (PWM), we advise some of the world's most influential individuals and families, delivering customized investment strategies, access to private markets, wealth planning, and family office solutions through a network of advisors globally. Learn more about our Private Wealth Management business.
As one of the largest intergenerational transfers of wealth in history accelerates, PWM continues to deepen its commitment to the next generation of founders, investors, creators, and inheritors. Wealth planning and family office services are among the most critical needs for this population as they navigate inherited wealth, growing complexity, and multi-generational decision-making — making these offerings a natural extension of our next-gen engagement strategy. We have an established next-generation client engagement platform, and we are scaling it — expanding our programming, content, and digital experiences, alongside the marketing that supports our wealth planning and family office capabilities — to shape the future of our offering and deepen relationships with the clients who will define the decades ahead.
YOUR IMPACT
We are seeking a Vice President to lead PWM's next-generation marketing, content, and digital engagement strategy, together with marketing for the Goldman Sachs Family Office (GSFO) and wealth planning business. These two areas are closely connected: next-gen clients are often the primary audience for planning and family office conversations, and this role will ensure a cohesive marketing approach that serves both. This is a high-visibility, client-facing role for a strategic operator and builder who is equally comfortable setting agendas with senior leadership, developing content and digital programming from the ground up, quantifying the business impact of everything they run, and building trusted relationships with ultra-high-net-worth individuals.
You will own the strategy, content agenda, and digital programming that engages the next-gen population at scale, defining what success looks like and building the measurement and reporting framework behind it. You will also lead the development of collateral, pitch materials, and marketing assets that support the GSFO team in growing and deepening client relationships. You will work in close partnership with the lead of our next-gen client advisory board — aligning marketing, communications, and content initiatives to the board's priorities and member insights — while also partnering closely with PWM Advisors, GSFO, Marketing and Corporate Communications, Product and Engineering, Data and Analytics, Legal, Compliance, and senior leadership.
HOW YOU WILL FULFILL YOUR POTENTIAL
Next-Gen Marketing Strategy, Programming & Content
- Own the strategy and execution of PWM's next-generation marketing and client engagement initiatives — identifying emerging trends and client needs, and turning them into concrete initiatives and programs
- Own the content agenda end to end — presentations, discussion guides, educational content, event collateral, and digital assets — maintaining a consistent voice and quality, and managing the editorial calendar
- Build and scale digital programming, including virtual events, webinars, and multimedia content
- Partner with the broader Marketing team to bring the next-gen value proposition to life across owned, earned, and social channels
- Own the legal, compliance, and privacy review process for all next-gen marketing and content materials, ensuring timely approvals and adherence to firm standards
Goldman Sachs Family Office (GSFO) Marketing
- Lead the development of marketing collateral, pitch materials, and client-facing assets that support the GSFO team's business development and client relationship efforts
- Partner with GSFO leadership to understand priorities, target client segments, and key messaging, translating them into polished, high-impact materials
- Maintain a consistent brand voice and quality standard across all GSFO marketing materials, and manage the associated content pipeline and refresh cycles
- Take GSFO marketing materials through Legal, Compliance, and Brand review
Partnership with the Next-Gen Client Advisory Board
- Serve as the primary marketing, communications, and content partner to the Client Advisory Board lead, ensuring board programming, meetings, and member communications are supported by high-quality content and materials
- Translate board priorities and member insights into content themes, digital programming, and broader next-gen marketing initiatives
- Support the board lead with pre-reads, presentations, and post-meeting communications as needed
- Ensure consistency between board-facing content and the broader next-gen content and brand strategy
Internal Partnership & Stakeholder Engagement
- Serve as the link between the next-gen marketing agenda and the PWM internal next-gen advisory council
- Facilitate working sessions with internal stakeholders to co-develop, test, and launch content and programming initiatives targeted at the next-gen population
- Represent the next-gen marketing and content agenda in internal forums and provide regular updates to senior leadership
Measurement, Reporting & Insights
- Design and own the measurement framework for the next-gen marketing agenda — programming, content, and digital engagement — defining the KPIs, success criteria, and baselines that determine whether the effort is delivering against its strategic objectives
- Build and maintain a recurring reporting cadence — content and digital performance readouts and scorecards
- Deploy surveys, structured feedback instruments, and analytics tools across initiatives; analyze results to identify themes, gaps, and opportunities
- Use measurement insights to iterate on strategy, programming, format, and content year over year
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree
- 6+ years of relevant experience in wealth or asset management, private banking, marketing, content strategy, digital programming, or client strategy
- Proven ability to create high-quality client-facing content and materials from concept through delivery, including presentations, written communications, and digital assets
- Experience designing and delivering content or digital programming across virtual, in-person, and hybrid formats
- Experience defining KPIs and building reporting or scorecards for a marketing, content, or digital program, including the ability to translate qualitative feedback into structured insights
- Strong analytical skills and comfort working with data in Excel, survey tools, and CRM or reporting platforms; proficiency in PowerPoint for executive-level storytelling
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to draft executive-level materials and synthesize complex discussions into clear takeaways
- Proven program and project management capability; able to run multiple concurrent content and digital workstreams to deadline with minimal oversight
- Ability to influence and mobilize senior stakeholders across functions without direct authority
- Strong judgment and discretion in handling confidential client information
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable operating with a high degree of autonomy in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to travel and to work occasional evenings and weekends around client events
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience building or scaling a content or editorial program, or digital engagement strategy
- Experience launching new marketing or digital programming from inception, including standing up its measurement framework
- Familiarity with the UHNW landscape
- Experience working on brand and thought leadership campaigns, including performance reporting
- Working knowledge of financial services marketing review processes (Legal, Compliance, Brand)
- Experience partnering with an advisory board, council, or executive program
- Experience with CRM, event, survey, and content management platforms
