Leidos Engineering is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our Strategic Program Consulting team within our Power Delivery Solutions division. In this role, you will work alongside cross-collaborative personnel to provide Project Management Services supporting a large electric utility client. You will work with a diverse blend of Capital Transmission/Substation projects in Central Ohio.

As a Project Manager in our Strategic Program Consulting group, you'll play a role in driving creative project management solutions for Leidos' utility customers. You can expect to:
- Lead electric utility project execution teams with a diverse set of contributors — including Engineering, Construction, Permitting, Siting, Environmental, Cost Controls, and Scheduling functions — to deliver comprehensive capital projects that maintain Leidos high standards for client delivery
- Take ownership of project performance, including cost, schedule, and scope management, for concurrent projects
- Interface directly with clients and internal stakeholders to address issues, report progress, and proactively mitigate risks throughout the project lifecycle
- Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies to keep projects on track for cost, schedule, and quality targets
- Mentor and guide junior project managers and project controls staff, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous learning
- Manage monthly client invoicing, accruals, and accounts receivable processes for assigned projects
- Ensure compliance with contract requirements, scope documents, and quality control standards across all phases of execution
- Maintain regular, clear communication with stakeholders, including clients, project teams, subcontractors, and support personnel
- Support business development efforts by identifying growth opportunities within existing client account(s) and contributing to proposal and estimating efforts as needed
- Lead project teams operating within progressive delivery models that align engineering execution
- Periodic travel throughout the State or region may be required on an as-needed basis
This position requires the candidate to be located in Central Ohio, with periodic travel to client offices and project sites. This allows us to best serve our localized utility clients as needed.
What you'll bring to the table (Required Qualifications):
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, Finance, or related field
- 8+ years of progressive Project Management experience
- Previous experience working in the Electric Utility Industry required; Experience as a Project Manager directly at an electric utility is strongly preferred
- Demonstrated Experience working with US Electric Utilities, and a comprehensive understanding of electric power and infrastructure projects is required
- Direct experience working with electric power infrastructure projects
- Supervisory experience including team building and talent acquisition
- Strong leadership skills with a focus on portfolio management and team development
- Previous leadership experience preferred
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to travel periodically as required
- Previous experience working with AEP is preferred
You Might Also Have:
- PMP Certification or willingness to obtain within two years
- Prior experience in a leadership position
- Demonstrated success in leading cross-functional teams
- Experience with PowerBI and/or visualization tools

## Pay Range:
Pay Range $92,300.00 - $166,850.00
