Metrology Assembly/Production Technician

Role Title: Electro-Mechanical Assembly Technician

Location: Laguna Hills  | Shift:  1st Shift - Full Time
Pay: $25-$29/ hourr

Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Electro-Mechanical Assembly Technician to assemble, wire, and test high-precision Metrology Systems for our manufacturing client. This role requires a well-rounded technician who can read product drawings, handle complex electro-optical-mechanical assemblies, and troubleshoot systems to ensure on-time delivery and strict adherence to quality specifications.

Primary Responsibilities:

Assembly & Integration: Build, wire, solder, fabricate, and test precision metrology systems integrating electronic, optical, and mechanical components using standard hand and power tools.

Testing & Troubleshooting: Perform thorough testing, inspection, and systematic troubleshooting against product engineering drawings and documentation.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate daily production schedules with the assembly team, communicate BOM (Bill of Materials) discrepancies, and assist in building prototype/special-order systems.

Process Improvement & Cost Reduction: Drive lean manufacturing initiatives (5S) to improve shop-floor efficiency and collaborate with engineering/production teams to design lower-cost parts and assemblies.

Compliance & Safety: Maintain strict adherence to Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental (QHSE) policies and standards.

Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to): $25.00 - $29.00 Per Hour
