Supported Accommodation Officer

Supported Accommodation Officer. Grade_06, SCP 11-17 (£29,071-£32,046) per year. Permanent 37 hours per week. This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in the new Temporary Supported Accommodation, for people experiencing homelessness, provided by Swansea Council’s Housing Service.

About the service:

Swansea Council’s Temporary Supported Accommodation will provide accommodation and support for people experiencing homelessness. Our service will run across a 24-hour period 365 days a year.

About the job:

As the Supported Accommodation Officer, you will:

- Assist in the administration of day-to-day aspects of the scheme(s) and the provision of scheme services to residents.
- Supervise the caretaker, ensuring a responsive and efficient maintenance and room turnaround provision
- Provide a welcoming, PIE informed experience for clients and agencies coming into our office space.
- Assist with aspects of premises/building management, Health and Safety and resources.
- Support with data collection and reporting.
- Contribute to the ongoing development of Temporary Supported Accommodation scheme(s) and homelessness services.

What are we looking for?
- A dynamic, self-motivated and organised individual who is committed to making a real difference.
- A strong communicator and problem solver, able to handle difficult and sometimes volatile situations should they arise.
- Proven experience of working within the social housing sector
- Experience of working in supported accommodation and/or support services which align with the Housing Support Grant guidelines and outcomes framework would be an advantage.
