Personal Care Assistant

University Home Care Inc is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to join our team in Brighton, MI. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals in their homes, helping them with daily living activities to enhance their quality of life and promote independence.

Responsibilities

- Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.

- Help with mobility and transfers to ensure client safety and comfort.

- Prepare and serve meals according to dietary requirements.

- Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe living environment.

- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients.

- Report any changes in client condition or behavior to supervisory staff promptly.

- Follow care plans and communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.

Requirements

- Prior experience in personal care or caregiving is an asset.

- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting and assisting clients.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

- Reliable, compassionate, and patient demeanor.

- Basic knowledge of safety and hygiene practices.

- Ability to pass background and reference checks.
