Strategy, Risk & Transactions (SR&T) is an end-to-end strategic advisory practice, enabling our C-suite clients to make informed, robust decisions and strategic choices. It integrates the full scale of Deloitte's M&A capabilities, consolidates Climate & Sustainability advisory capabilities, and tightens the connection between strategy development and risk management to assist clients with navigating uncertainty and change.

As part of our current M&A Transactions Services (TS) team, where both corporate and private equity clients are supported in substantiated investment decisions, the Value Creation Services (VCS) team helps these clients to deliver tangible benefits across the entire value chain.

Within VCS, the proposition for Technology M&A has been growing over the last years and this growth is going to be faster in the years to come. We deliver high-quality work to help our clients with technology-related decisions in their M&A processes. Altogether, we support our clients with understanding the relevant trends in technology, complexity, value and potential risks. Since technology is increasingly embedded in all stages of the M&A lifecycle, we are looking for you to continue expanding the Technology M&A team.

#AboutYourRole

As a Technology M&A Analyst, you will be at the heart of transformative deals, helping private equity firms and corporate clients navigate the technology aspects of mergers, acquisitions, carve-outs, and integrations. You will support the execution of Technology Due Diligence across a wide range of industries, focusing on IT, cyber security, digital products, and platforms. You'll support the development of clear, data-driven insights. At the same time, you'll help strengthen client relationships and play a key role in building our fast-growing Technology M&A practice.

Key responsibilities include:

- Assess current vs. future-state tech strategies and align with the client's investment case.
- Identify tech risks, capabilities, and associated cost implications.
- Analyse digital/IT roadmaps and technology investment plans.
- Advise on Day-1 readiness, carve-out, and integration planning.
- Develop clear deliverables: reports, executive summaries, and recommendations.
- Collaborate across disciplines to ensure integrated, end-to-end support.
- Contribute to internal initiatives to strengthen our Technology M&A proposition.

#OurRequirements

You are naturally curious, eager to learn, and excited to explore new technologies and their business implications. You can translate complex ideas and analyses into clear, compelling communication. To succeed as a Technology Strategy Analyst , you bring:

- A relevant Master's degree (MSc) in fields such as Informatics, Digital Systems, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Informatics and Computer Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Cybersecurity or a comparable university degree.
- 1–3 years of professional experience , ideally in IT, enterprise technology, technology consulting, or a related field.

- A genuine curiosity about IT strategy, enterprise architecture, application landscapes, ERP systems, IT infrastructure, and the role technology plays in business performance.
- The ability to structure information, identify patterns, assess findings, and draw logical conclusions from complex or incomplete information.
- Confidence using Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint to analyse information and develop clear, professional presentations.
- Fluency in written and spoken English.
