Location: Union, NJ Position Type: Full-Time Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM Pay Rate: $21.00 – $23.00 / hour
Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented, and customer-focused Customer Service Representative to join our team in Union, NJ. In this role, you will serve as a primary point of contact for customer inquiries, handle order processing from entry through fulfillment, and coordinate closely with internal teams to ensure a seamless customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
Order Entry & Processing: Accurately enter and process incoming customer orders into the system in a timely manner.
Customer Support: Answer incoming inquiries via phone and email, providing prompt, professional, and accurate information regarding order status, product details, and resolution of issues.
Shipment Scheduling & Logistics: Schedule customer shipments and track deliveries to ensure on-time completion.
Cross-Functional Teamwork: Collaborate closely with internal departments (warehouse, operations, logistics) to align on delivery schedules and meet customer expectations.
Customer Follow-Up: Proactively follow up with customers regarding order confirmations, updates, potential delays, and post-delivery feedback.
Records Management: Maintain up-to-date customer files, order histories, and records within the company database.
Qualifications
1–3+ years of experience in customer service, order entry, or administrative support roles preferred.
Strong proficiency in data entry with high attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Solid organizational and time-management skills; ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and comfortable learning company software/ERP systems.
Strong problem-solving abilities and a positive, collaborative attitude.
Schedule & Pay
Schedule: Full-time, Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM
Pay Range: $21.00 – $23.00 per hour (commensurate with experience)
Work Location: In-person (Union, NJ)
