Employment Law Attorney for an Employment Law firm in Orange County, CA.
Direct Hire opportunity. Paying $220k-330k/yr , depending on experience. Primarily remote environment, with as-needed travel for meetings, depositions and appearances. Hours are 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday (firm can offer flexibility).
Responsibilities:
Manage employment law matters from initial case assessment through resolution, including discovery, litigation, and trial preparation. Defend employers against employment-related claims, including Private Attorneys General Act (PAGA) claims. Develop litigation strategies, conduct legal research, and prepare pleadings, motions, and other legal documents. Take and defend depositions, negotiate settlements, and represent clients in hearings, mediations, and trials. Advise clients on litigation risks, case strategy, and applicable employment laws. Collaborate with legal teams and clients to develop effective case strategies and achieve favorable outcomes.
Skills & Qualifications: 10+ years of employment law experience. Recent experience defending against PAGA claims within the past 12 months. Active California State Bar license in good standing. Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school. Strong litigation, legal research, analytical, and negotiation skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to independently manage complex cases and prioritize competing deadlines.

Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to): $220,000.00 - $330,000.00
