About this role
ASKA is developing a hybrid-electric drive-and-fly vehicle. The Head of AI Sensor Fusion & Digital Twin leads AI sensor fusion and digital twin engineering under the CTO, guiding fusion and digital twin specialists and coordinating perception work.
The role sets technical direction and delivers predictive models for autonomous driving and flying; translates technical requirements into actionable targets and review criteria; oversees probabilistic estimation, modeling and performance measurement; ensures maintainable production code and resolves integration defects; improves datasets, quality metrics and regression tests; mentors the team; and manages interdependencies with the Program Manager.
Full-time, on-site or hybrid at Eagle Field Airport, Firebaugh, CA; Bay Area/Palo Alto candidates preferred and relocation candidates welcome. Fully remote is not offered; some remote analysis/design/software work may be possible with client approval. Hands-on development and integration work with coordinated Eagle Field visits is required.
