About this role

Spice Up Someone's Week with the Gift of Conversation!

Do you speak Spanish and enjoy building meaningful connections? We are seeking friendly and compassionate Spanish-speaking Social Volunteers to provide weekly one-hour visits with older people in our community.

For many residents, being able to chat in their first language brings comfort, joy, and a sense of belonging. By sharing stories, laughter, culture, and everyday conversation in Spanish, you can help reduce social isolation and create moments that truly matter.

No special experience is required, just a warm heart, a listening ear, and an hour to spare each week. Whether you're reminiscing about life experiences, discussing hobbies, or simply enjoying a friendly chat, your time can make a lasting difference.

As a Social Volunteer, you'll have the opportunity to form genuine friendships while helping someone stay connected to their language, culture, and community.

If you're ready to add a little Alegría to someone's week and turn simple conversations into meaningful connections, apply today. Your hour of friendship could be the highlight of someone's week!

Your impact

Volunteering as a social visitor can be a rewarding experience, both for the person you visit as well as yourself. Regular visits from volunteers can help to improve quality of life and help older people feel less isolated. Your visits will bring great joy to the client you are matched with.
