To assist in all aspects of golf cart mechanics.
QUALIFICATION STANDARDS
Education & Experience:
- High school graduate or its equivalent.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license with the ability to safely operate a motor vehicle.
- Ability to communicate.
- Well organized and willing to assist at any time.
- Respectful, considerate and well-mannered to all Members of Staff, Lyford Cay Members and Guests.
- Compliance with the Lyford Cay Club Employee handbook at all times.
Physical requirements:
- May occasionally lift heavy objects.
- Hours vary according to season.
- Exposure to weather.
DUTIES & FUNCTIONS
Essential:
- Maintain a clean, tidy, neat cart barn always.
- Store all tools and equipment in their proper place.
- Don’t allow trash or cart debris to collect outside or around the cart barn - especially to the rear south door.
- Store the flatbed trailer and empty debris each Thursday - whether full or not.
- Keep the spare parts cage locked at all times except when access is required.
- Ensure that the request for repair work on carts are authorized, signed and booked in the Golf Shop.
- Remove all trash and put into garbage bin.
- Eliminate sand buckets, tees and pencils removed.
- Wash down cart with soap and water. This will include wheels, seats, storage bins, sun top foot wells and even trap rake.
- Hose down cart, then towel dry and drive inside the north door.
- Install new scorepad, pencils, tees, paper towels and golfing guidelines sheet.
- Inspect rake for broken teeth or handle and replace if necessary.
- Replace sand buckets on cart.
- Check tires for correct tread and pressure.
- Check tow bar mechanism for safety.
- Examine steering and brakes to be inspected.
- Inspect battery leads and water levels.
- Park cart in line and have correct 36 volt charger attached.
- Inspect charger will be inspected for efficiency.
- Ensure all shelves and boxes are tidy and entry is free of blockage.
- Have cart barn closing checklist completed, signed and handed in to the Resident Professional in the Golf Shop.
- Detail all carts fully, once per week. This will include foot wells, tire sidewalls, and bagwells.
- Complete the Lyford Cay Club preventative system score on the relative vehicles that are due for inspection. Hand the completed forms in to the golf shop.
- Ensure the smooth running and professionalism of this cart operation and repair area.
- Ensure all cart operations Staff fully follow the daily routines as per the A Standards of Performance@ Manual.
- Hold weekly meetings to follow through on operation action items.
- Ensure all relevant paperwork, checklists and forms are completed on time and recorded with the Golf Shop.
- Keep sufficient records and spare parts to ensure a smooth and efficient repair garage.
- Ensure private cart repairs, bookings and work are carried out in a professional and timely manner.
- Ensure that all relevant paperwork and closing procedure forms are completed properly and recorded with the Golf Shop.
Marginal:
- To perform all other duties as requested by management.
- Attend meetings/training as required by management.
