JOB OVERVIEW
To clean and maintain all items and surfaces in designated areas, ensuring the Club’s standards of cleanliness.
QUALIFICATION STANDARDS
Education and Experience:
- High school graduate or its equivalent.
Mental requirements:
- Must be a willing team player able to work independently when required.
- Able to follow specific directions thoroughly and can work calmly and effectively under pressure.
- Well organized and willing to assist at any time.
- Understands and implements the established standards and policies of the Club.
- Respectful, considerate and well-mannered to all Members of Staff, Lyford Cay Members and Guests.
- Compliance with the Lyford Cay Club Employee handbook at all times.
Physical requirements:
- Occasional environmental exposures to cold, heat and water.
- Working days vary according to the business demands of the department.
- Working around chemicals and bio-hazards.
- Remain in stationary position for periods throughout the work shift.
DUTIES and FUNCTIONS
- Clean, stock and supply designated facility areas.
- Clean the designated accommodations, restrooms, offices, restaurants, bars, meeting rooms and Member/Guest contact areas around the Club, which will require the following:
- Dusting.
- Sweeping.
- Vacuuming.
- Making Beds.
- Mopping Floors.
- Emptying Trash Bins.
- Cleaning Ceiling vents.
- Cleaning and Drying Windows.
- Spot Scrubbing/Cleaning.
- Surface Preparation/Cleaning.
- Some light to medium lifting.
- Some light to medium bending.
3. Liaise with your immediate Supervisor/Manager to ensure that you always have cleaning products.
4. Report any breakages that occur during the cleaning process.
5. Notify Management of occurring deficiencies or items that need repairs.
6. Stock and maintain supply rooms as required.
7. Follow all health and safety regulations.
8. Always conduct yourself in a manner that is representative of the Lyford Cay Club.
9. Assist with any other designated functions/duties as required by Management.
