University Home Care Inc is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Home Care Assistant to provide exceptional in-home care services to clients in Auburn Hills, MI. This role involves supporting individuals with daily living activities, promoting independence, and ensuring their safety and comfort in a home environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with personal care tasks including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Help with mobility and transferring safely to prevent injury.
- Prepare and serve meals according to dietary guidelines.
- Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe living environment.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients.
- Monitor and report any changes in the clients health or behavior to the supervisor.
- Follow care plans and instructions provided by healthcare professionals.
- Maintain accurate records of services provided and client progress.
Requirements
- Previous experience in home care or caregiving is a plus.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting and assisting with mobility.
- Reliable, compassionate, and patient demeanor.
- Valid drivers license or access to reliable transportation.
- Ability to pass background checks.
