Job Title: Inside Sales Representative Job Description This Inside Sales Representative role focuses on supporting customers by handling requests for quotes, orders, and lead times while providing accurate information and exceptional service. The position manages both standard and custom product quotations, processes orders, and coordinates with vendors and internal departments to ensure timely and efficient fulfillment. In addition, this role oversees the retail store function and is responsible for counter sales at the branch, helping customers find the right products and solutions. Responsibilities
- Receive and respond to customer requests for quotes, orders, and lead times in a timely and professional manner.
- Prepare accurate quotations for both standard and custom items based on customer requirements.
- Create and process customer orders, ensuring all details are complete, accurate, and entered correctly.
- Relay pertinent product, pricing, and order information to customers clearly and effectively.
- Coordinate with vendors to obtain pricing, availability, and delivery information needed to complete quotes and orders.
- Collaborate with internal departments such as purchasing, logistics, and operations to handle purchase orders and support customer needs.
- Manage the retail store function at the branch, ensuring a professional and organized environment.
- Handle counter sales by assisting walk-in customers, identifying their needs, and recommending appropriate products or solutions.
- Provide customer service support throughout the sales process, including order status updates and issue resolution.
- Use Microsoft Office applications and other systems to perform data entry, maintain records, and track customer orders and quotes.
- Ensure all work is performed accurately and thoroughly with a high degree of organization.
- Pay close attention to details to minimize errors in quotes, orders, and documentation.
- Communicate clearly using proper listening, oral, and written skills to understand and address customer questions and concerns.
- Follow company procedures while taking care of customers needs and maintaining a high standard of service.
- Use persuasive communication and appropriate interpersonal skills to gain acceptance of products and support sales efforts.
Essential Skills
- At least 2 years of inside sales experience.
- Experience in manufacturing, oil and gas, or distribution environments.
- Customer service skills with the ability to take care of customers needs while following company procedures.
- Inside sales experience including handling quotes, orders, and customer inquiries.
- Proficiency in data entry with a focus on accuracy and completeness.
- Ability to use appropriate interpersonal skills and communication methods to present information persuasively.
- Strong listening skills and the ability to actively attend to and understand customer comments and questions.
- Clear oral and written communication skills with a strong command of the English language.
- Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly with a high degree of organization.
- Strong attention to detail in handling quotes, orders, and documentation.
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in procurement or supply chain functions is beneficial.
- Excel experience is a plus.
- Experience working in sales within manufacturing, oil and gas, or distribution sectors is advantageous.
- Ability to work collaboratively with vendors and internal teams to support customer needs.
Work Environment This role follows a Monday through Friday schedule, with typical hours from the morning until 5:00 p.m. The position is based in a branch environment that includes a retail store and counter sales area, where the Inside Sales Representative interacts directly with walk-in customers as well as phone and email inquiries. The work involves regular use of computers and Microsoft Office applications for data entry, quoting, and order processing. The environment emphasizes organization, accuracy, and clear communication while working closely with vendors and internal departments to support customer needs.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bossier City, LA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $26.44 - $28.85/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
