Job Summary
Shift Schedule: 2nd Shift (4 10-hour shifts)
The Screen Press Operator is responsible for independently operating a screen-printing press, performing routine maintenance, and producing high-quality printed products that meet established production standards and customer specifications.
- Set up, operate, and break down manual or automatic screen-printing presses.
- Load screens, inks, substrates, and materials according to job specifications.
- Align screens and ensure accurate registration, color matching, and ink coverage.
- Monitor press operation during production runs and adjust as needed.
- Inspect printed products for quality, defects, and consistency.
- Maintain ink viscosity, color accuracy, and print standards throughout runs.
- Perform routine press cleaning, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Follow job tickets and production schedules to meet deadlines.
- Assist with reclaiming screens and general shop tasks as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Critical Skills & Experience:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Printing or screen press experience preferred.
- Ability to read and follow job instructions and production tickets.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and problem‑solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and quality.
Physical Demands:
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during the workday.
- Ability to regularly lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to bend, reach, twist, stoop, and perform repetitive movements.
- Ability to safely work around moving machinery and production equipment.
- Ability to maintain visual attention to detail and product quality.
