About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Manager, Specialised Credit (Private Bank) to play a key leadership role within Group Risk, supporting the delivery of strong credit quality and portfolio outcomes across our Private Bank business.
This is an influential leadership opportunity where you will lead a team of credit specialists, provide expert credit risk guidance, and partner with stakeholders across the business to ensure sound decision-making, policy adherence, and sustainable portfolio performance. You will help translate strategy into execution while fostering a strong risk culture and driving continuous improvement outcomes.

What will your day look like?
In this role, you will:
- Lead a team of credit specialists to deliver timely, high-quality credit decisions and strong portfolio outcomes.
- Provide expert credit risk insights and contribute to governance forums to support effective decision-making and policy adherence.
- Build team capability through coaching, mentoring and development, creating a high-performing and engaged team environment.
- Strengthen portfolio management practices and improve the quality of credit proposals and risk outcomes.
- Foster strong relationships with stakeholders across the Private Bank business and broader organisation.
- Champion a strong risk culture and ensure compliance with credit policies, frameworks and standards.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and identify opportunities to enhance credit risk management practices.

To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- Strong leadership, influencing and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to navigate competing priorities in a complex environment.
- Advanced credit assessment, decision-making and risk management expertise across portfolios.
- Highly developed analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess complex credit scenarios and identify risk implications.
- Excellent communication skills, including experience preparing and contributing to executive-level papers and presentations.
- A continuous improvement mindset and the confidence to identify policy gaps and drive positive change.
- The ability to adapt your leadership style and judgement to evolving business needs and changing credit environments.
- Experience leading teams through change while fostering an open, positive and high-performing culture.
- Deep knowledge of credit policies and portfolio risk frameworks will be highly regarded.
