About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Manager, Credit Strategy Oversight to play a key leadership role within Group Risk, supporting strong credit quality, risk governance and oversight across portfolios.
This is a highly visible leadership opportunity where you will lead the Credit Strategy Oversight team, driving governance, reporting, control effectiveness and stakeholder engagement across the business. You will help ensure sound risk management practices, foster a strong risk culture and contribute to strategic risk outcomes while aligning with ANZ's credit principles and policies.

What will your day look like?
In this role, you will:
- Lead the Credit Strategy Oversight team and manage credit governance processes, reporting and control effectiveness.
- Drive stakeholder engagement and influence risk outcomes across business units and governance forums.
- Oversee audit, compliance and regulatory engagement activities, ensuring timely resolution of issues and actions.
- Build team capability while promoting a strong risk culture, compliance and continuous improvement practices.
- Provide strategic risk oversight and insights to support informed business decision-making.
- Partner with senior stakeholders to strengthen governance outcomes and uplift risk management practices.
- Support the ongoing evolution of governance frameworks and oversight activities in a dynamic risk environment.
What will you bring?
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- Strong leadership capability, including proven stakeholder influencing skills and experience managing executive stakeholders.
- Advanced knowledge of risk management, governance frameworks and regulatory environments.
- Strong analytical, strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate complex and evolving risk environments.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including experience preparing and contributing to executive-level papers.
- An adaptable and open-minded approach with the ability to adjust your style, thinking and judgement to changing business needs and priorities.
- Demonstrated experience leading teams through change while maintaining engagement and performance.
- Proven ability to bring teams on the journey and create a positive, collaborative and high-performing culture.
- Deep expertise in credit policies and governance frameworks will be highly regarded.
