Southern Health Partners is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our healthcare team at Stokes County Jail .
Correctional healthcare offers the opportunity to provide hands-on nursing care in a structured, secure environment while serving a population with real healthcare needs. You'll work alongside a dedicated clinical team while using your nursing skills to make a difference every day.

💚 What You'll Do
- Provide direct nursing care to patients in a safe and secure correctional setting
- Administer medications and treatments according to orders and established protocols
- Complete intake screenings and nursing assessments
- Monitor patient conditions and identify changes requiring intervention or follow-up
- Respond to routine and urgent healthcare needs
- Communicate with providers and collaborate with the healthcare team
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Support continuity of care and positive patient outcomes
- Provide professional, compassionate care to every patient
Qualifications
✅ What We're Looking For
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the state of North Carolina
- Current CPR certification
- Previous correctional, behavioral health, or relevant nursing experience is preferred, but not required
- Strong assessment, communication, and critical-thinking skills
- Ability to work independently while functioning effectively as part of a healthcare team
- Dependability and professionalism
- Ability to work a rotating schedule that includes every other weekend
