Description The Reader/Assistant will directly support a blind attorney in the legal department with reading and administrative tasks. Administrative tasks include, but are not limited to, scheduling meetings, overseeing the calendar, reviewing and revising documents, preparing and submitting travel documents, and other administrative duties as assigned. The candidate should have an exceptionally strong attention to detail as he/she will prepare and revise various documents that require precise execution. This role is a blend of administrative support and reader responsibilities. On the administrative side, duties include scheduling meetings, coordinating travel when needed, and handling routine tasks such as Workday entries and Microsoft Teams support. The reader component involves reading documents aloud, for example, during training sessions, CW may read content from the computer screen over the phone or via remote connection. Additional Skills & Qualifications This role offers an opportunity for recent graduates or undergraduates to consider law school. While the position is primarily administrative, handling tasks such as scheduling, travel coordination, and systems support, it also provides direct exposure to the daily operations of a corporate legal department. By supporting a lawyer, you will gain firsthand insight into how legal teams function, learning through observation and interaction. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
