Job Title: Quality Assurance Specialist Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Quality Assurance Specialist to oversee and update quality and production documentation. The specialist will conduct daily batch record reviews, release products that meet quality standards, and perform quality investigations and audits. Additionally, the role involves maintaining and updating the HACCP plan and quality documentation using an electronic Quality Management System (QMS). The specialist will collaborate with quality, production, and engineering teams to ensure compliance and product readiness for shipment.
Responsibilities
- Document and update all quality and production information.
- Perform daily batch record reviews and release products meeting standards.
- Conduct quality investigations, including root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Assist with audits and perform internal and external audit activities.
- Maintain and update the HACCP plan and standards.
- Ensure compliance and quality documentation using an electronic QMS.
- Collaborate with quality, production, and engineering teams to ensure documentation accuracy and product readiness.
Essential Skills
- Proficiency in quality assurance functions, including batch record review and product release.
- Experience in managing quality information and data using an EQMS.
- Knowledge of internal and external audit processes.
- Ability to conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Familiarity with quality standards and systems, including HACCP, CAPA, and non-conformance handling.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in quality control, quality assurance, and quality investigations.
- Understanding of GMP, cGMP, and SOPs.
- Capability in managing certificates of analysis and compliance.
- Experience with non-conformance management and corrective actions.
- Competence in conducting internal and external audits.
Work Environment
This is primarily an office-based role focusing on QA functions. The position operates on a first shift schedule, Monday through Friday, with typical first shift hours and potential flexibility on start times. The role requires interaction with internal personnel, such as manufacturing and quality/lab teams, as well as external customers. The smaller location offers the opportunity for increased responsibility and internal growth. The company provides excellent benefits upon hire.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $28.85 - $36.06/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
