Southern Health Partners is launching a new correctional healthcare program at Worth County Jail , and were looking for a Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) to join our team.

This is a unique opportunity to provide meaningful behavioral health services in a structured, secure environment while helping establish a new SHP healthcare program from the ground up.

With a schedule of just 8 hours per week , this role can be an excellent fit for a mental health professional looking to make a difference while maintaining flexibility in their schedule.

๐Ÿฉบ What Youll Do

As a QMHP, youll provide behavioral health services to patients within the correctional setting and work alongside the SHP healthcare team to support their mental and emotional well-being.

Responsibilities may include:

- Providing behavioral health assessments and services

- Identifying mental health needs and developing appropriate treatment recommendations

- Providing individual counseling and supportive interventions

- Monitoring patients for changes in mental or behavioral health status

- Collaborating with medical and behavioral health team members

- Documenting assessments, services, and patient progress

- Assisting with continuity of behavioral healthcare

- Supporting patients with mental health needs within a safe and secure environment

- Helping establish effective behavioral health processes as part of a new site launch

Qualifications

๐Ÿ“‹ Qualifications

Candidates must meet the requirements for a Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) and hold one of the following credentials:

- Psychiatric Registered Nurse (Psych RN)

- Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)

- Licensed Professional Social Worker (LCSW)

Additional qualifications include:

- Current and unrestricted professional license in the state of Georgia

- Current CPR certification, as applicable to discipline

- Behavioral health or mental health experience

- Strong assessment, communication, and documentation skills

- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with the healthcare team

- Commitment to providing compassionate, professional behavioral healthcare

- Ability to work effectively within a secure correctional environment
