Join University Home Care Inc as a Direct Care Worker in Westland, MI. In this role, you will provide compassionate and personalized care to clients in their homes, assisting with daily activities to promote independence and enhance quality of life.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with personal care tasks including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Support clients with mobility and transfers to ensure safety and comfort.
- Help with meal preparation and feeding as needed.
- Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe environment.
- Monitor and report any changes in clients health or behavior to supervisory staff.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients.
- Follow individualized care plans and adhere to company policies and procedures.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a caregiving or direct care role is an advantage.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable transportation to clients homes.
- Background check and drug screening is a plus.
