The Accra Hub is Newmont’s corporate office in Ghana, serving as the strategic centre for our operations in West Africa. Located in Ghana’s vibrant capital city, the Accra Hub brings together a diverse range of professionals, including project managers, engineers, finance experts, human resources practitioners, communications experts, and external relations professionals, who support the Ahafo South and Ahafo North mines while collaborating across Newmont’s global network. ##### Your Impact:
- Execute allocated exploration work programs safely, effectively and in line with approved objectives and standards.
##### As Part of Our Team You Will:
- Design and supervise the exploration work to ensure it is delivered in line with the design, objectives and to standard.
- Monitor exploration performance against established KPIs, providing regular updates and analysis.
- Supervise the work to deliver results within KPI guidance.
- Supervise contractor work to maintain compliance with contractual obligations and exploration objectives.
- Deliver training and mentoring to geologists.
- Develop, plan and schedule work activities over 3 months to 1 year timeframe.
- Compile, assess, and interpret analytical results and report.
- Provide input into performance and individual development plans for more junior geologists.
- Assist with preparation, and present group budgets, systematic long term work programs and business plans.
- Report work program progress and follow up recommendations.
##### Your Training, Skills & Experience Checklist:
Formal Qualification (including Professional Registrations):
- Professional degree in Geological Science or a related field, with registration in a relevant professional body (for example, PGeo) or eligibility for immediate registration.
Experience:
- Minimum of 0 - 2 years’ work experience.
Problem Solving Ability:
- Completes concrete procedural tasks.
- Follows procedural steps to complete work.
- Uses practical judgement to overcome problems or requests assistance.
- Sees alternatives based on trial and error.
- Improves working methods using day-to-day experience, procedures, observations of patterns of events, and trial and error.
Technical Skills:
- Competency in designing exploration programs and portfolio management.
- Competent ability to analyze complex data and derive meaningful insights.
- Foundational proficiency with data visualization tools and modeling software (PowerBI, Tableau, resource modelling).
- Competent written and verbal communication skills.
- Competent ability to present information and summarize key messages to non-technical stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
Social Process Skills:
- Self-awareness: Understand own behaviors and is aware of the impact on others, and adapt their own behavior where necessary in order to get a productive outcome for the wider team.

##### Working Conditions:
- The position is located at our Ahafo North mine site. Frequent travel to Newmont mine sites and exploration properties will be required.
