Shift/Schedule: 6:00 PM until 6:00 AM (Rotating Schedule, 3-4 shifts per week)
Pay: $15.12 per hour

We are currently seeking a dependable and safety-focused Utility Baler to join our production team in Georgia. In this role, you will play a critical part in plant operations by managing scrap material baling, operating core-cutting equipment, and supporting our production lines to ensure seamless manufacturing.
What You’ll Do (Key Responsibilities)
Scrap Baling & Material Recovery:
Collect, stage, weigh, and bale plastic scrap film and cardboard throughout the warehouse and production areas.
Band, wrap, and weigh finished bales and coordinate with the material team to transfer bales to designated staging zones.
Perform film "slabbing" according to standard operating procedures.
Production Line Support:
Supply and replenish gaylords and core materials to production lines on schedule to avoid downtime.
Partner with the Resin Coordinator to maintain proper material levels across all active lines.
Core Cutting & Recycling:
Measure, acknowledge, and cut cores to exact job specifications for production lines.
Minimize waste by following scrap length thresholds (maximizing reuse over 9 inches) and recycle metal core waste into designated receptacles.
Workplace Safety & 5S Cleanliness:
Maintain clean, organized baler areas, warehouse aisles, and 5S additive/color staging areas.
Inspect equipment, operate forklifts safely, and adhere to all facility safety rules and OSHA standards at all times.
Assist shift supervisors with additional material-handling and production tasks as needed.
What We’re Looking For (Qualifications)
Required:
Forklift Certification / Experience: Valid forklift license and demonstrated safe operating practices.
Physical Capability: Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly throughout a shift in a busy manufacturing plant environment.
Basic Skills: Solid basic math skills and the ability to read and understand production sheets, labels, and safety guidelines in English.
Reliability & Teamwork: Strong work ethic, punctual attendance, good communication, and a proactive attitude toward helping teammates.
Preferred:
1+ years of experience in a manufacturing, plastics extrusion, warehouse, or recycling environment.
Prior experience with baling equipment, strapping tools, or industrial core cutters.
