Job Summary:

To implement and monitor programs and procedures on a plant level that ensures consistent high-quality products are provided to the consumer in such a way to build confidence in the quality and safety of the brand. Assure production of a high-quality product at a value that meets or exceeds our customer's requirements.

Essential Functions:
Responsible for performing and documenting ongoing inspections on assigned machines in accordance with the Quality Control Plan. Direct responsibility for ensuring that only product that meet all the established specifications are packaged and shipped to our customers. The QT also has the responsibility, authority, and obligation to document and verbally communicate all problems to the Supervisor. Support training for line operators to ensure process checks are accurate and timely as stated in QMS. Hold "Out of specification" material. Communicate with supervisors. Support execution of Plant Rules throughout the plant and follow safety rules and procedures. Responsible for retaining daily samples. Ensure that all work activities are performed with attention to the highest standards of product quality, safe processes, compliance with all appropriate legal requirements and a focus on continuous process improvement. Oversee the notification system, including customer, internal and supplier notifications. Assist technical services and the facility's manufacturing groups in the resolution of quality concerns and notifications. Manage the technical function and all related resources for the operation. Ensure all work activities are carried out according to AAP Safety and GMP requirements. Monitor and maintain procedures and documentation for product recall and tracking. Performs and monitors quality control testing for raw materials, packaging materials, and/or finished product quality at the plant level.

Qualifications & Experience :
Education, Training & Professional Experience: High School Diploma or GED or 3 years working in related manufacturing areas, Technical or QA Lab experience.
Basic math skills
Good communication skills

Knowledge & Employment Standards: 3 years progressive responsibilities in product production, or product safety preferred. General Business Data Gathering and Analysis - strong sampling, survey administration, analysis, and statistical background, Pareto charts, and histograms. Fact-based Decision Analysis - data and fact-based decision-making process a must Specialty and Job-Related knowledge, skills & abilities needed Leading Edge Techniques - quality assurance and quality control abilities are essential. Leadership experience needed Team Dynamics – Empowerment, Collaboration, Motivation, and Enthusiasm - strong skills in leading and organizing people. Staff Development - successfully coaches, trains, and follows up to develop personnel. Setting and Achieving Goals in a High-Performance Work Environment - Self-motivated and high performance oriented Interpersonal knowledge, skills & abilities needed. Written and Oral Communication – strong. Business Relationships - communicate both professionally and effectively at all levels of the organization a plus.
