About this role

Accounts Payable Specialist needed in Clearwater, FL ! This is to help with a clean up project! This is a 12 month contract to start to help with clean up work! Job Description We are seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist who will play a vital role in identifying repetitive invoice issues, analyzing root causes, and working with management to initiate resolutions across the system. You will ensure adequate controls are in place to safeguard assets and prevent unauthorized payments, overpayments, and expense abuse. This role involves researching and resolving purchase order invoice discrepancies and managing credits for pricing and receiving issues. Responsibilities

- Identify repetitive invoice problems and analyze root causes.
- Ensure controls exist to safeguard assets and prevent unauthorized payments.
- Research and resolve purchase order invoice discrepancies.
- Review vendor credit balances monthly and work with vendors to clear balances over 90 days.
- Review vendor statements to ensure reconciliation with open payables.
- Run reports and queries to resolve purchase order invoices with open cost messages.
- Utilize system knowledge for 3-way match problem resolution.
- Communicate issues related to fatal errors to AP Manager and Supply Chain.
- Participate in cross-functional meetings to discuss and resolve issues.
- Resolve mismatches of electronic invoice interfaces daily.
- Review and resolve open RNI receipts issues monthly.
- Coordinate with Supply Chain to close appropriate lines.
- Review and resolve open Vendor Returns monthly.

Essential Skills

- Experience with large ERP systems.
- Proficiency in invoice processing and vendor management.
- Understanding of accounts payable functions.
- Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs).
- Working knowledge of reconciliations.
- Ability to read data and identify discrepancies.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

- Basic accounts payable knowledge.
- Experience in a healthcare organization is beneficial.

Work Environment The role initially requires onsite presence for 2-3 weeks for training, with the possibility of remote work thereafter. The position is full-time, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. Candidates will need to use their own computers due to company policy for contractors. There is flexibility for candidates to work 100% onsite if preferred.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $22.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
