Job Title: Account Manager Job Description
The Account Manager plays a high-impact role in a fast-paced, evolving last mile delivery network, owning a portfolio of hub delivery partners across delivery stations in an assigned region. In this individual contributor position, you develop and execute territory plans that drive successful partner launches, sustained high performance, and long-term retention. You engage in heavy phone and email communication with partners and customers, use a wide variety of software tools to navigate accounts and review policies, and provide data-driven recommendations and creative solutions. You work closely with cross-functional teams, including station operations and program teams, to solve complex problems, improve processes, and ensure a consistently high-quality experience throughout the entire lifecycle of partner projects and initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Own and manage a portfolio of hub delivery partners across delivery stations within your assigned region.
- Develop and execute territory plans that drive partner launch success, sustained performance, and retention.
- Provide partners and members with a personalized, creative experience while coordinating the entire lifecycle of their projects.
- Conduct regular performance reviews, analyzing partner health and reliability metrics to provide data-driven recommendations.
- Execute coaching interventions on operational best practices to help partners achieve and maintain performance benchmarks.
- Monitor performance trends and implement proactive interventions to prevent partner deactivation and performance decline.
- Serve as the primary escalation point for partner issues, coordinating rapid resolution across internal teams.
- Communicate operational impacts, program updates, and network changes with urgency and clarity to external stakeholders.
- Act as a strategic partner advocate, channeling feedback to drive systemic improvements across hub delivery operations.
- Identify workflow inefficiencies and formulate network-level operational improvements to enhance quality and reliability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including station operations and program teams, to deliver high-quality solutions that address partner pain points.
- Partner with planning teams on volume forecasting and capacity optimization across your territory.
- Support partner scaling initiatives while maintaining quality and performance standards.
- Analyze territory performance data to identify expansion opportunities and risk mitigation strategies.
- Use a wide variety of software systems to navigate customer and partner accounts, proactively monitoring to anticipate issues before they occur.
- Work internally with other departments to ensure that a high-quality product and service are delivered in a timely manner.
- Meet all performance and quality metrics established for the role and continuously seek opportunities for improvement.
- Initiate process improvement projects within the department and drive them through to completion.
- Maintain excellent oral and written communication with partners, customers, and internal stakeholders via phone, email, and other channels.
- Effectively multi-task and prioritize activities in a high-volume, fast-paced environment while maintaining strong follow-up and organizational practices.
Essential Skills
- 2+ years of sales or account management experience.
- 1+ years of customer service experience in a high-volume environment.
- Experience analyzing data and best practices to assess performance drivers.
- Experience conducting performance reviews and using metrics to guide recommendations.
- Experience with Excel for data analysis and reporting.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong analytical problem-solving ability with a data-driven mindset.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to quickly learn and navigate new systems and software tools.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational and follow-up skills.
- Ability to work weekends and overtime as needed.
- Demonstrated ownership mentality and comfort operating in ambiguous environments.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Associates degree.
- Bachelors degree preferred.
- Experience working with high-volume processes.
- Experience in sales, customer service, account management, sales support, administrative support, or sales administration.
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams such as operations and program management.
- Experience in territory planning, capacity optimization, and volume forecasting.
- Experience in coaching partners or stakeholders on operational best practices.
- Experience with written and verbal communication in English and Spanish.
- Aptitude to quickly learn new systems and software and apply them to daily work.
- Strong ability to identify workflow inefficiencies and propose process improvements.
- Comfort building processes from scratch and driving innovation in operational environments.
Work Environment
This role is based on-site five days per week in Austin in a dynamic, fast-paced operational environment supporting a rapidly growing last mile delivery program. You will work closely with station operations, program teams, and other internal departments, using a variety of software systems, Microsoft Office tools, and Excel to manage partner accounts and analyze performance. The position involves frequent phone and email communication, regular performance reviews, and collaboration across multiple teams to resolve issues and drive improvements. Work hours may include weekends and overtime depending on business needs. The environment emphasizes ownership, innovation, and continuous improvement, offering a contract opportunity with the potential to convert to a full-time role.

This is a Contract position based out of Austin, TX.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $38.00 - $38.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job
