Project Manager
Job Description Join our team to assist in the daily oversight of mechanical construction projects. This role supports project planning, scheduling, procurement, and coordination efforts, ensuring successful project execution. Responsibilities
- Assist Project Managers with daily oversight of mechanical construction projects.
- Support project planning, scheduling, procurement, and coordination efforts.
- Track project budgets, commitments, change orders, RFIs, and submittals.
- Coordinate with field teams, vendors, subcontractors, architects, engineers, and ownership representatives.
- Prepare and maintain project documentation, reports, meeting minutes, and closeout packages.
- Monitor project schedules and identify potential risks or delays.
- Assist in reviewing drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
- Support material procurement and delivery schedules.
- Attend jobsite meetings and participate in project progress discussions.
- Help manage project cost tracking and forecasting.
- Ensure compliance with company safety standards and project requirements.
- Maintain strong communication with internal and external project stakeholders.
Essential Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in construction project management, project engineering, or coordination.
- Understanding of HVAC, plumbing, piping, and mechanical construction systems.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings.
- Excellent organization and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience working for a mechanical contractor, HVAC contractor, or MEP subcontractor.
- Familiarity with Procore, Autodesk Construction Cloud, Bluebeam, Primavera P6, or Microsoft Project.
- Experience supporting projects in New York City.
- Knowledge of change order management, RFIs, and submittal processes.
- Self-starter with a willingness to learn.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Collaborative team player.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Career-oriented individual interested in growing into a Project Manager role.
Work Environment This position requires working on-site and the ability to travel throughout the five boroughs. Join a mechanical contractor based in Queens, focusing on commercial and institutional projects such as museums, high-rise condos, and theaters. The team is currently managing five projects and looking for support as soon as possible, offering growth opportunities and a substantial project backlog.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Queens, NY.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $80.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
