Based in Raleigh, you'll contribute to a diverse portfolio of projects spanning workplace, science & technology, and mission critical environments , collaborating alongside talented architects, designers, engineers, and consultants throughout every phase of project delivery.

What You'll Do

As a Senior Interior Designer, you'll play a key role in shaping projects from initial strategy and programming through construction and occupancy. Key responsibilities include:

- Lead workplace interior design projects from programming and concept development through construction administration and project closeout.
- Develop creative, thoughtful design solutions that align with client goals, workplace strategies, budgets, and project schedules.
- Create and oversee space plans, test fits, and workplace layouts that support functionality, culture, branding, and user experience.
- Guide project teams through schematic design, design development, construction documentation, and construction administration.
- Lead client presentations, design workshops, and project meetings.
- Collaborate closely with architects, engineers, consultants, vendors, and internal design teams.
- Select and specify furniture, finishes, materials, lighting, and FF&E packages.
- Prepare and review construction documents utilizing Revit and BIM workflows.
- Support furniture procurement and finish package coordination efforts.
- Review submittals, respond to RFIs, conduct site visits, and assist during construction.
- Communicate design concepts through presentations, renderings, visualization tools, and graphic storytelling.
- Mentor and support junior designers while fostering a collaborative, team-oriented culture.
- Maintain project quality, schedules, and client relationships throughout the project lifecycle.

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or Interior Architecture from a CIDA-accredited program.
- 6+ years of professional experience in commercial interior design, workplace design, or interior architecture.
- Strong proficiency in Revit and BIM-based project delivery.
- Experience leading workplace interior projects through multiple phases of design and construction.
- Strong background in space planning, workplace strategy, and commercial interiors.
- Knowledge of commercial building systems, building codes, and ADA requirements.
- Experience with FF&E selection, finish specifications, and commercial interior detailing.
- Strong communication, presentation, and organizational skills.
- Ability to successfully manage multiple priorities while collaborating with clients, consultants, and project teams.

Preferred Qualifications

- NCIDQ certification or active pursuit of certification.
- Experience with SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and rendering or visualization software.
- background in construction documentation and construction administration.
- Experience working within science & technology and/or mission critical project environments.
- Demonstrated success leading project teams and mentoring junior designers.

Job Type & Location
This is a Permanent position based out of Raleigh, NC.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $140000.00/yr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
