We're seeking a Landscape Architect to join a highly collaborative architecture and design practice delivering architecture, planning, interior design, and landscape architecture services on both domestic and international projects. In this role, you'll help shape innovative outdoor environments and urban spaces for a diverse portfolio of multi-family, mixed-use, and urban development projects . You'll work alongside architects, planners, interior designers, and other design professionals in a fast-growing, design-driven studio that values creativity, collaboration, and professional growth. Whether you're leading project efforts, presenting design concepts to clients, or mentoring emerging professionals, you'll have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on both projects and people.

What You'll Do

As a Landscape Architect, you'll contribute to projects from early visioning and design through construction, while helping guide teams and maintain design excellence throughout the process. Key responsibilities include:

- Lead and oversee the preparation of landscape architectural drawings across all phases of design and construction.
- Collaborate closely with architects, planners, interior designers, and consultants to develop integrated project solutions.
- Manage project budgets, schedules, and deliverables while maintaining high standards of design quality.
- Guide team members in applying landscape architecture standards, best practices, and technical requirements.
- Serve as a key point of contact for clients and contractors during project design and construction.
- Develop and deliver compelling presentations for clients, stakeholders, and design review committees.
- Facilitate design meetings, visioning sessions, outreach activities, and public-facing presentations.
- Evaluate materials and products to ensure they align with project goals and design intent.
- Participate in construction administration activities, including site visits, shop drawing reviews, and coordination with project teams.
- Support business development initiatives through proposal preparation, interview participation, scope development, and fee negotiations.
- Mentor junior staff and contribute to the growth and development of the landscape architecture team.
- Assist with recruiting and interviewing potential team members.
- Travel periodically for client meetings, project reviews, and site visits.

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Landscape Architecture preferred.
- More than 2 years of recent experience in a professional design office.
- Experience designing landscape architecture projects within the multi-family, mixed-use, and urban development markets.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent graphic and visual presentation abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities while meeting deadlines.
- Proficiency in Revit.
- Proficiency with SketchUp and rendering/graphic visualization software.
- Experience preparing and overseeing landscape architectural construction documentation.
- Ability to manage project schedules, budgets, and coordination efforts.
- Experience with construction administration activities, including site observation and contractor coordination.
- Strong collaborative skills and a desire to mentor and support junior team members.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with Rhino and other modeling or parametric design tools.
- Familiarity with emerging design technologies and innovations in the built environment.
- Experience supporting project delivery for multi-family, mixed-use, and urban projects.
- Exposure to proposal development, interviews, and business development efforts.
- Comfort presenting to clients, community groups, and design review boards.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Interest in contributing to the continued growth of a design-oriented firm.

Work Environment

This position is based in a modern Raleigh office near Glenwood Avenue and Hillsborough Street in the greater Research Triangle region. Team members primarily work in-office to encourage collaboration, mentorship, and integrated project delivery, with some flexibility to work remotely when appropriate. The studio environment is fast-paced, highly collaborative, and design-focused, utilizing tools such as Revit, SketchUp, rendering applications, and other advanced design technologies. You'll be surrounded by professionals who are passionate about creating exceptional places while continuing to grow personally and professionally.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Raleigh, NC.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $65.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job
classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be
