We're seeking an Interior Designer to join a growing and highly collaborative design practice in Raleigh. This role is part of the firm's Science & Technology and Mission Critical Team , offering the opportunity to contribute to innovative commercial environments while developing your skills alongside experienced architects and interior designers. What You'll Do
As a member of the Interiors team, you'll contribute to a wide range of commercial projects while working closely with senior designers, architects, consultants, and clients. Key responsibilities include:
- Assist with space planning, concept development, finish selections, millwork design, coordination, and project documentation.
- Contribute to the ideation, conceptual design, and schematic design phases of projects while helping meet client goals, budgets, and schedules.
- Support the design, production, and construction documentation process throughout all phases of project delivery.
- Develop project materials utilizing Revit and other design technologies.
- Assist with the selection and presentation of furniture, furniture systems, fabrics, finishes, lighting, and equipment.
- Create preliminary space plans and design studies under the guidance of senior team members.
- Develop interior design details and design solutions in collaboration with project teams.
- Research furnishings, finishes, and product options and coordinate with local vendors and dealers.
- Participate in construction administration activities, including RFIs, submittal reviews, and project site visits.
- Collaborate with architects, designers, and consultants to deliver high-quality commercial interior environments.
What We're Looking For
Required Skills
- Proficiency in Revit, InDesign, and Escape software.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
- Understanding of building systems, building codes, and ADA requirements.
- Ability to create and communicate design concepts through 3D modeling tools such as Revit, SketchUp, or similar platforms.
- Strong space planning and design visualization abilities.
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite.
- Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or Interior Architecture from a CIDA-accredited program.
- Approximately 3-6 years of related experience in commercial interiors, particularly workplace environments.
- NCIDQ certified or actively pursuing certification.
- Additional graphic design, rendering, or 3D visualization software experience.
- Commitment to professional development and continued growth within the profession.

Work Environment
This position is based in the firm's Raleigh office and offers the opportunity to work closely with a collaborative team of design professionals. The role includes hands-on involvement in project development, coordination, and construction administration, with occasional travel to project sites as required. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $65000.00 - $105000.00/yr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
