We're seeking a Landscape Designer to join a highly collaborative architecture and design practice delivering architecture, planning, interior design, and landscape architecture services on both domestic and international projects. In this role, you'll contribute to the design of innovative outdoor environments and urban spaces for a diverse portfolio of multi-family, mixed-use, and urban development projects . Working alongside landscape architects, architects, planners, and interior designers, you'll help bring projects to life from early concept development through construction documentation. This is an excellent opportunity for a creative and technically minded designer who is passionate about placemaking, enjoys working in a collaborative studio environment, and is looking to continue developing their design skills and project experience.
What You'll Do
As a Landscape Designer, you'll support a variety of projects while contributing to design development, visualization, documentation, and project coordination.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the preparation of landscape design drawings and construction documents throughout all phases of project development.
- Collaborate with landscape architects, architects, planners, interior designers, and consultants to develop integrated project solutions.
- Support site analysis, concept development, landscape plans, hardscape design, planting design, and project documentation.
- Prepare graphics, renderings, diagrams, and presentation materials to communicate design concepts.
- Participate in design meetings, project workshops, and collaborative work sessions.
- Research materials, products, and landscape solutions that support project goals and design intent.
- Assist with coordination of project information across disciplines.
- Support construction administration efforts, including site visits, shop drawing reviews, and contractor coordination.
- Help maintain project schedules and deliverables while contributing to a high level of design quality.
- Participate in client presentations and project discussions as appropriate.
- Travel occasionally for project meetings and site visits.
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Landscape Architecture preferred.
- More than 2 years of recent experience in a professional design office.
- Experience contributing to landscape architecture or landscape design projects within multi-family, mixed-use, and urban development markets.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent graphic, visualization, and presentation abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet project deadlines.
- Proficiency in Revit.
- Proficiency with SketchUp and rendering/graphic visualization software.
- Experience contributing to the preparation of landscape architectural drawings and construction documentation.
- Strong collaboration skills and willingness to work within a multidisciplinary team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Rhino and other modeling or parametric design tools.
- Familiarity with emerging design technologies and innovations within the built environment.
- Experience supporting project delivery for multi-family, mixed-use, and urban development projects.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Desire to continue growing professionally within a design-focused practice.

Work Environment
This position is based in a modern Raleigh office near Glenwood Avenue and Hillsborough Street in the greater Research Triangle region. Team members primarily work in-office to support collaboration, mentorship, and integrated project delivery, with some flexibility to work remotely when appropriate. The studio environment is fast-paced, highly collaborative, and design-focused, utilizing tools such as Revit, SketchUp, rendering applications, and other advanced design technologies. You'll be surrounded by professionals who are passionate about creating exceptional places and helping team members grow their careers.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Raleigh, NC.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $65.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job
classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be
