You will join Deloitte’s Cyber Intelligence Center , where we deliver Security Operations Center (SOC) services to multiple clients through a Managed Security Service Provider (MSSP) model mainly from Italy to local and international customer. We centralize security alerts and investigations on our own portals, giving our teams a coordinated view across the environments we support.

Our SOC brings together two complementary groups: analysts who provide 24/7 monitoring and initial analysis , and specialists who work on an 8×5 schedule to handle more complex investigations, manage security technologies and support clients directly. This position sits within the specialist team , working closely with the 24/7 analysts to turn alerts into clear findings and effective response actions.

As a Cyber Security Consultant / Senior Consultant , you will join Deloitte’s Cyber Intelligence Center and work on Security Operations Center (SOC) activities for our clients. This is a hands-on role for someone who can combine deep technical expertise with sound judgement, clear communication and a strong sense of ownership.

You will help manage, maintain and configure security technologies across EDR, SIEM, email security and SOAR environments. You will also investigate complex security incidents, connect evidence from multiple sources, assess potential impact and work with clients to agree on effective response actions.

More specifically, you will be responsible for:

- Managing, maintaining and configuring security platforms to support reliable monitoring, detection and response.
- Investigating and analysing complex alerts and incidents, identifying relevant indicators, affected assets and potential business impact.
- Coordinating technical response activities with client stakeholders and internal teams, while keeping communication clear, timely and actionable.
- Improving detection rules, use cases and response workflows to reduce noise and strengthen operational effectiveness.
- Producing concise incident reports and technical recommendations that clients can use to make informed decisions.

Key Qualifications

- At least 3 years of relevant experience in cyber security, with substantial hands-on experience in SOC operations and incident analysis.
- Strong practical expertise in the configuration, administration and maintenance of security technologies, particularly EDR, SIEM, email security and SOAR (vendor agnostics).
- Proven ability to investigate complex security incidents , correlate evidence across different tools and data sources, and recommend appropriate response actions.
- Solid understanding of security monitoring, detection engineering and incident response processes.
- Ability to manage technical issues independently, priorities effectively and maintain high standards of analysis and documentation.
- Strong client-facing skills: you can explain technical findings clearly, manage expectations and build trusted working relationships.
- Good written and spoken English.

Bonus Qualifications

- Experience developing or tuning SIEM detection rules, SOAR playbooks and SOC operational procedures.
- Experience with threat hunting, threat intelligence or digital forensics.
- Familiarity with cloud security monitoring and incident response in cloud or hybrid environments.

· Experience using AI agents to support SOC activities, such as alert triage, investigation and response workflow automation, with appropriate human oversight and validation of outputs.

- Relevant security certifications in incident response, security operations or the technologies used in a SOC.
- Experience mentoring colleagues or acting as a technical point of reference during complex investigations.
