The Sushi Roller is responsible for preparing and presenting fresh, high-quality sushi according to established recipes and presentation standards. This position works closely with both front-of-house and back-of-house team members to ensure orders are prepared accurately and efficiently while creating a welcoming dining experience for our guests.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepare and present sushi and other menu items according to established recipes, portioning, quality, and presentation standards.
- Complete guest orders accurately and efficiently while providing friendly service to guests seated at the sushi bar.
- Anticipate and respond to guest needs to help create a positive dining experience.
- Maintain clear communication with the Chef, kitchen, bar, dining room, and other team members.
- Respond quickly and appropriately to guest concerns or operational needs.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work area throughout the shift.
- Clean and sanitize food preparation equipment, counters, tables, utensils, and surrounding work areas.
- Follow all established food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures.
- Maintain a professional, positive, and respectful demeanor when interacting with guests, fellow team members, management, and vendors.
- Accept coaching and performance feedback in a professional manner.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education and Experience
- Must be at least 19 years of age.
- High School Diploma and/or GED preferred.
- Previous sushi preparation, food preparation, restaurant, or customer service experience is preferred.
- Customer-service focused with an outgoing, upbeat, and positive attitude.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to quality and presentation.
- Ability to remain professional and composed during busy or potentially stressful situations.
- Ability to communicate and work effectively as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays, as business needs require.
- Must be able to work variable overtime when required.
Work Environment
This position is located within a casino and restaurant environment. Team Members must be able to work in areas that may include:
- Secondary smoke
- High noise levels
- Bright lights
- Dust
- Fast-paced kitchen and restaurant activity
